Not at all confident about tonight, however I do think that if we manage to get past Braintree, we'll have enough to finish the job off at Wembley.

Come on Grimsby for crying out loud. Your form is like a bad April Fool's joke that's gone on too long. Time to pull your bloody fingers out.

I have nothing against Braintree, they've been remarkable this season, but if they get to Wembley I can see them freezing and FGR going up. You're the last hope, for all sane football fans!!!

Woken up gutted but extremely proud of our club. Deserved to win yesterday and on balance over the two legs we probably deserved extra time.

Can't fault anything about our performance yesterday and couldn't ask for any more from them, that much was clear from the number of supporters who stayed long after the game to applaud the players.

Ricky Miller was unbelievable and Raggett put in such a mature performance for a 22 year old - dominated the defence.

Good luck to FGR in the final, we had a great day out in Nailsworth (never thought I'd say that). Pitch invasion slightly embarrassing though ;)

I don't have BT sport so didn't see any of it but i am guessing from comments on here that this pitch invasion involved about 3 people?

Attendance: 2755 (353 from Dover) and about half that number invaded pitch at end of game. Fantastic scenes.

Heres a video of the pitch, for me it was emotional, never though we would see such scenes at TNL.

Incidentally the pitch was the best its looked for ages, no idea how that turn arounds happened, it was terrible even 2 weeks ago. Must be elephant dung, as cows off the menu

Lewhites, thanks for the compliment, your fans were a real credit. Incidentally didnt realise that Loui Fazakerleys joined Dover as a backroom member- shrewd move for them IMHO.

Well that was shite, I actually fell asleep in the first half and missed the goals. That attendance was a disgrace for the biggest game in Stepford Wives FC history. Grimsby, you simply have to get your shit together this afternoon, we can't have trash like this in the Football League. :£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£

If yesterday taught me anything, its that the impossible is possible.

Winning away - at Braintree? I don't think any team has ever done it before, but today I feel Grimsby can.

Simple, now Pennock doesn't have to waste time sorting the team out he has more time to spend getting the pitch into shape!

Just to put the rumors to bed, scotty will be walking the team out in Wembley and will always be considered a legend whatever happens, and Mark Cooper will be announced Monday, spoke to mark yesterday and he can't wait to get started, love the bloke, club legend already so will instantly get support!!

What was even worse was at one point in the pitch invasion there were at lest 38 people in the technical area, most shouting and yelling- thats simply WRONG

Are there any rules re pitch invasions after the final whistle, the announcer was shouting things but no one could hear

Near the end of the game on Thursday our announcer said if there was an invasion then we have been told by the FA that we would get a big fine.
My thoughts at the time were, we are 1 - 0 down to Braintree, who the fuck would want to invade the pitch after that.

teams tend to freeze more in front of big crowds - if it's FGR v Braintree it won't be unless a load of cockneys and Essex lads come out to support Braintree.....
what is it with you lot (Grimsby) and Braintree by the way? Just score some bloody goals! - Even Barrow took 4 points off them, drawing 1-1 down there when we were really shit (before Cox arrived) and beating them 2-0 at home - surely if we can score against them twice you can..... Do you want Cook back on loan to help you with that ;) (whilst we still have him)

Yeah he joined as a fitness coach a few months ago.

I know it might not have sounded like it on the tv but from the ground the atmosphere was really good last night, from both sets of supporters. Would've been better if we'd had an end and you had both your ends packed into 1, but there we go.

Don't really give a shit who goes up now but would like it to be Forest Green purely because your ground is such a pain in the arse to get to

How do you see next season going? Are people confident of keeping your better players or are the expected to go? Raggett, Deverdics, Miller and Payne are good enough for anyone in this division and I could certainly see Raggett and Miller at a higher level.

Miller will be staying - he loves the club. Was in tears at the final whistle last night. Already signed on for next season too. Raggett Payne and Deverdics have been offered deals but can see them moving up- hope they don't.

Jim parmenter is serious about making us a league club and I trust Kinnear to find some more gems if they do leave. Can't see us replicated this season but the main aim has to be to stay up as per

Is Parmenter the guy who was talking about quiting if crowds don't improve?
