As Gashead says we gave Bristol Rovers far fewer tickets than they could sell for the leg at the New Lawn last year and I thought that was fair enough, as i do with Braintree this year. You're obliged to give a decent allocation but not to hand your ground over to the bigger team AFAIK.

Dover.. crikey.

As fun as it would be to see the real Essex derby between Colchester and Braintree, the money's on Grimsby for me.

Fair enough, give us whatever allocation you feel fit. However if it's not a home sellout then don't start whinging next season when people are criticising your pitch if you can't afford to sort it out again.

Yes, because you limping to a 1-0 victory against 11 reserves is relevant
What is relevant is that it was our first win for ages and you can only beat whoever you are up against...more worrying for you should be that since the departure of Pennock our players seem happy again, a massive improvement on recent weeks, and really up for the play-offs. Another few days training with Scotty and we might be about to give you more of a game than we did the Gas last season.

We essentially threw the match though, one, maybe two of those players will be playing on Wednesday. We brought on a kid at 1-0 down and still could've had a few goals

Fair enough, we might only make a couple of changes, so maybe you are right to feel confident. We have a couple of players on their way back from injury, Bennett and Sinclair, who would probably be first choices but might not be risked until the second leg. Either way, I am far happier that we are playing yourselves, rather than Grimsby or Braintree.

And I'm glad we're playing you. Maybe you'll beat us, but it was either you or Braintree and I fancy beating you more than them

If braintree get in league two do they have money to turn pro and upgrade ground? What if they could not pay for stadium upgrades would they be demoted? Years ago if teams grounds weren't league two standard they were denied promotion, now they get a seasons grace, standards must be getting relaxed these days

I'm pretty sure they're ground meets the requirements. Nothing says you hear to go pro if you go up either

Purely based on what I've seen of the teams, I'm going for a Dover vs Grimsby final.

With Dover winning on pens the most likely outcome.

9 teams have us to thank for their highest league attendance this season.

We take 800 away fans ON AVERAGE.

And Braintree can justify 600 tickets? Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievably stupid. I see some Braintree fans are justifying it as 'well that's what we got'. Which is bit like a kid with no arms getting a bike for Christmas because that's what his brother got.

Yep and fucking BT Sport haven't chosen Gateshead in this latest set of matches. Again.

Not aware of any part time teams currently in football league

No there aren't any but it is perfectly possible to be part time in the league. We've never been full time, Chris Kinnear will probably keep his teaching job if we do go up and I can't see us paying players like Orlu enough to quit their day jobs

Just that it's ridiculous that they keep ignoring them. Did you know they haven't been shown at home once over the last two seasons?

That's probably because you've been mid table and your ground would look awful on tv

This is the problem with these tinpotters getting ideas above their station.

Should have been reffed out months ago.

Also, out of spite, I hope we pen Braintree into the corner so we can throw tomatoes at them.

I'm sorry but there ground is a disgrace! I'll try and upload a photo of the men's toilets.

They'd need a lot of work doing.

I know it is I've been many a time - pitch is a disgrace too. I'm sure it meets the ground grading requirements though.

It's called history.

Nice to see you admit that complaining about the BT Sport schedule is pointless though, maybe you'll pack it in from now.

The football league refused stevenage, kidderminster and macclesfield entry due to there grounds. These teams grounds were not as bad as braintrees and these days are canny little stadiums. You woukd think football league would be stricter now due to health n safety and the general view of stadiums been more pleasant places for fans

In all honesty, who would want to watch a Gateshead game on TV? They don't have the fanbase who'd watch from afar, they don't have an atmosphere anyway and I doubt it could be made better with mics spread out. It was alright in the playoff game but that's because there were 6000 Geordies also there.
