bump....
now that most teams have only 7 or 8 matches left how are everyone's predictions going? There's some horrendous ones in there - including me tipping Aldershot to do well.
virtually no one predicted Sohihull or Gateshead to have good seasons, Barrow to be above the bottom 4, or Aldershot to be quite so bad this year

To show how badly everyone has done with Aldershot and Solihull;-
nobody has Aldershot in the bottom 4
nobody has Solihull in the top 7
nobody has Aldershot below Solihull, Barrow or even Havant

Nothing to do with the start of season stuff on this thread but found a predict the league thing for here, surprised to find such a thing exists for this level.

Here is my set of shit predictions on how the table will look after 46 games

Link : https://www.worldfootball.net/table_calculator/eng-national-league/

It must be broke though as according to my table Barnet aren't in line to be relegated.

interesting to note you think 75 points will get you in the play offs - IF the miracle does happen and Barrow win their last 7 games they finish on 76... very unlikely - but then so was winning at Wrexham then in form Eastleigh

This was before we all realised the sheer scale of the Solihull budget.

Mine's horrendous.

I don't think I'll be keeping my title this season.

I saw from reading Alan Alger’s Preview that Chesterfield were 8/15 to finish top 7! Must be his worst ever ‘tip’. He also tipped Barnet at 6/5.

To be fair it’s in line with what most of us said on here.

Players signed by Solihull since the predictions were made : Lee Vaughan (Kidderminster) Nathan Blissett (Macclesfield) Terry Hawkridge (Lincoln) and signing of Maxwell who was on loan but was released by Blues. We have a far smaller squad than Owen Glydnor College FC who just keep bringing in players.
Soooo.... Master D, I suppose they cost a fortune, as if they didnt that would just be another ignorant swipe to cover your own frustrations.

Hawkridge left us for Notts County in 2017 and more than doubled his wage in the process.

It helps when you know what you're talking about :shifty:, and judging by all the predictions on this thread, only Boz, Joethegill, Dan Wrexham and yours truly have got a clue. We're the only ones to have the O's to win the league, which they undoubtedly will.

Go on you O's!

Whilst I acknowledge that Salford are by far the biggest culprits of throwing money around down here, by an absolute country mile. I would say that despite having a smaller squad you guys are still spending alot in wages due to extra investement. Players you've signed aren't just going to go to Solihull for the sake of it.

Credit where its due though, I believe Mr Eales knows what he is doing there, like what he did at Oxford United. You've crept under the radar this season and suprised alot of people - Myself included, I thought your teams style of kicking lumps out of the better sides (like you did to us in September) would be your undoing, but Tim Flowers is doing a superb job to improve your team and to keep it going.

If you're still in this league next season though (Or League Two), it will be interesting to see how you get on - Solihull won't be an unknown underdog anymore.

No one knows mate, my attempted google threw up some six fingered chump who attempted a war with just a leek in his hand (inevitably lost) slept under a mountain and thus became some local hero that the school who own you named themselves after. I know right! crazy! but you are just a pub team leasing your pitch from a school. And I even believed you had some heritage and clout.... ah well damn google.

Terminator... nicely done, some respect chucked into that post. Eales only took an interest in the club in October, I can take from your posts that either of you would rather avoid us in a play off final, which, in its own way, is respect. Lets see how it goes. Either way I wont be bitter. Good luck to all.

To be right, I called Orient and Salford as light years beyond anybody else after watching their game back in August. Harrogate are the real surprise, they play some great football, score for fun and very much remind me of Aspin's Shaymen team that exploded into this league in 2013. :ds:

It was a rhetorical question. The name he was looking for was: Owain Glyndwr

Poor attempt at trolling as well.

Chucked these together this evening. My methodology was as crude as last year, but I’ve checked the top few for inaccuracies. There were loads.

As usual, tie-breakers are amount of correct predictions (shown in brackets) and then how tinpot the team you support is. Congratulations to Joseph Smith for being fortunate enough to support this year’s surprise package and benefit wildly from their disgusting and in-no-way-bankrolled over-performance! Your prize is half off on your next visit to your spice dealer.
