You forgot the existence of York. And Yeovil. Not that I can particularly blame you.

Ours will be orange again, we had a vote last pre season between white and orange and orange won. The club can't actually change without consulting the fans because after that they gave our "image rights" to the supporters club or something along those lines.

It's been a keenly debated issue amongst the fans and I personally prefer, and voted for white, but it doesn't bother me as much as I know it does some others.

I'd immediately associate Luton with white rather than orange.

Pools aren't in stripes , that's the main thing as far as we are concerned ... One step at a time .... hopefully stripes are gone forever , it's only a fairly recent thing anyway

Showing your age there?

Don't worry, we have fans who argue red has no place on our kits becuase we've only had red on them since the early seventies.

Me too, I also think a nice white shirt and dark blue shorts is a lot nicer looking than easyjet orange but the debate has seemingly been settled for the foreseeable future.

Yeah I hate having an orange home kit, couldn't believe white lost when it went to a vote. Democracy is stupid!

By fairly recently I obviously meant in the last 20 years !! Time flies ...... If you look at that historical kits site you will see we've never stuck with one for long , how many times can you tinker with stripes or plain blue ?

As an aside on Luton Orange/White I def agree the White looks better. Just it was Orange when I started in mid/late 70's - so Orange is Luton for me.

I liked the Orange and voted for it, but I think with a different sponsor it could look a little silly.

Our new kit has been released along with its our new sponsor - Barnfield College. Not really impressed by this as we'll be getting virtually no income from this, the organisation is tainted and any income generated will be diverted from students and government.

New away kit this season, home and third are the same as last year but with different sponsor.

A few usually well-informed posters on Outlaws reckon we are getting more cash from Barnfield than we ever did from easyjet. Although the latter were a relatively big name, they did negotiate their sponsorship deal when we were at our lowest ever ebb - in the Conference with no money, huge debts and no willing sponsor (even Cabrini decided they wanted to pull their support when we were relegated out of the FL is memory serves). They had us over the barrel from a negotiating perspective so I doubt they were paying us much.

Interestingly, Gary Sweet claimed we had received several offers from betting companies and Wonga-style short term loan people, all of which were worth significantly more money than the Barnfield offer. We rejected them for moral/ethical reasons though - his reasoning was that the vast majority of replica kit sales are to youngsters, and it's morally wrong for them to be walking around with a bookies slapped all over them.

Admirable, although I hope he ran it by the investors first as it is they who will be making up the shortfall for our moral stand!

Bolton had a deal last year with a company like Wonga, can't remember which one exactly, and had so much backlash from supporters and sponsors that they were forced to back out. I bet they'd have given you a load of money though, not sure I'd have too many problems with it if it happened to Carlisle...

The Newcastle fans have produced their own sponsorless black and white striped kit (made by adidas in fact) for fans to buy and wear so that they aren't tainted by Wonga.
