Ahhh, bloody Oxford again. I can only hope they are distracted by Arsenal, otherwise I can see us conceding 4 again. Still, we might score 5 in reply...

It's the holiday season and not much to do, so I checked out your post and agree it's depressing for Exeter supporters: - no win since 2012

Morecambe away. Is it a six pointer ? Well, no - but is pretty big. Win this and we have some breathing space as we are in the Fa cup Saturday so others will play whilst we do not.
We are capable of winning, but morecambe have just won and I can see this been a tight draw.

I would just take not getting thrashed at Hillsborough. Desperately need some more players.

No such thing as an easy game but this is one I expect us to try and get on the front foot. Seems all is not well in terms of the fans turning on the manager etc at FGR so hopefully an early goal and things can fall in our favour. I think this should be the game we get Funso Ojo back in there as we need some control in midfield which we lacked at Hillsborough.

We destroyed MK at their place earlier in the season. Hoping for a comfortable 2 or 3 nil victory tomorrow.

3 defeats in a row cannot happen. 3rd worse defence in the league now too. Will surely have a tougher game than we did at Cheltenham.

Port Vale came and beat us fairly convincingly at TNL early last season when we were flying, so god knows what they’ll do to us now given how our confidence is on the floor.

Be interesting if Jamille Matt starts, I can understand emotions running high/reacting to provocation but it really isn’t acceptable for the club captain to offer out your own fans. Tbh given the lack of leadership at the club it wouldn’t shock me if no one even took any notice of the ugly scenes at the end on Thursday. Seeing some angry fans being told to fuck off by a few players wasn’t something I’ve seen for a while, the morale in the dressing room must be pretty low after that.

After two unlucky defeats on the bounce, we face Fleetwood at home which really is in my eyes a must win. Anything less than 3 points in this and I can see the rest of our season being fairly boring in midtable mediocrity.

New lad Killian Phillips should start in place of the suspended Luke Leahy, although I hope the club appeal that and the Cheltenham lad gets more than a 3 match ban.

We need to attack from the off here as the longer it remains 0-0, the more shithousery Fleetwood will do which we have no plan B against and we will go on to lose 1-0.

Never underestimate our ability to make hard work of these sort of games. Even in a promotion season season last year we went to a god-awful Colchester team and had a shit the bed performance and lost.

Never a good sign when fans and players are rowing with each other. Seen it enough at Vale in the past. Suppose at least it shows Matt cares if he's giving that sort of reaction.

Would take another draw against Ipswich, which would make it 10 home draws in 12!

Don't think we'll make (m)any changes from last night. First goal is key as it always is but even more so with our lack of goals.

Tricky game for us tomorrow, we’ve a decent record against FGR but are always tight affairs and a tough battle.

Since our stellar performance at Argyle we’ve been a bit flat and only scored once in four games so are a bit frustrating tomorrow.

Should be one for the unique kit lovers though assuming we wear the retro blue!

Point would be ok but ideally three to head into yet another long break without a game.

Word of advice to Vale fans for tomorrow, bring sunglasses to protect you from the glare of the electronic advertising hoardings...I ain't joking!

Luke Leahy’s red card overturned and will be in the starting lineup tomorrow against Fleetwood. That is huge for us as he’s our not only our best player, but our captain too and has a big influence on the rest of the players.

This is where the ref from the Cheltenham game needs to be punished and Cheltenham themselves also. They deserve a fine for their play acting and aggressive play!

It's a massive banana skin this. I can see FGR players coming out fighting with a 'we'll show you' attitude and being really fired up.

They're not the team they were at the start of last season but if we apply ourselves we should get a result.

I've got a bad feeling about it though...feels like we're going through one of our famous poor spells which always coincides with January.

Off the top of my head I don't think we've conceded more than once in a league game since we played you, but also haven't scored more than once - just a load of 0-0s, 1-0s and 1-1s so will probably be a tight one. Whoever scores first will win, got a feeling it'll be your lot.

This may well be up there with the most pathetic statement I've ever seen on a forum, and there is a lot of competition for that. There was one bad challenge in the whole match, and whilst Raglan wasn't sent off for it, he was sent off in the immediate aftermath.

Anyway, Rovers away tomorrow, our defence can't possibly be as bad as it was when we played them at Whaddon Road - the fact we've got 5 clean sheets since shows how much of an outlier that game was to be honest. For some reason I've got a good feeling about tomorrow - it usually means we lose though, so....

Imagine a supporter of team managed by Steve Cotterill be that hypocritical and precious.

Walsh not suspended for the red card? Assuming Jackson will be in his place

Ah of course, he'll be suspended. Jackson will have sat out last night with a view of rotating with Walsh so probably doesn't change what we were going to do.

We’ve had a few home fans complain about ours too, they don’t bother me personally but they are somewhat distracting (which I guess is the point, who buys advertising space wanting it to be ignored?).

Anyway, onto the game. After the somewhat bizarre and ultimately unsuccessful decision to make 8 changes for our last game (Ainsworth otherwise rarely changes a winning side), I’m hoping we put out a full-strength first XI vs Peterborough today.

We beat them in the reverse fixture, so they’re clearly there to be had, but we’ll need to be on top of our game to do so.

Getting the double over them would be amusing against a side whose chairman was supernaturally bitter over us getting promoted to the Championship.

They were really bad the other night, possibly the first time I'd really noticed the issue but it was a night game so they stood out even more. We have also had a few complaints, but also about one of the ads that was showing recently for "Just stop oil" which contained the acronym "FFS"...wouldn't want to have been there with kids who asked what that meant. So much for being a family oriented club and ironic that before the game against Cheltenham the club issued a warning about swearing from supporters not being tolerated!

Wilson and Robinson injured and Jones missing for personal reasons. Conlon dropped so a bit of a meh line up.

Stubbs in the squad but won't be playing, which is odd.

Having Brad Walker on the bench is an interesting one if he’s offski to Hartlepool before long. Don’t think Conlon can have too many complaints about being dropped on this one.

Just doesn’t look a side that will create much that.
