The top 4 all playing each other! bit of a random one!

given everyone’s got injuries/knackered from christmas there’s going to be some interesting results, none of those sides won last night either.

Would be happy with a point.

Our good run has got to come to an end sometime and sods law says it will be against and out of form Doncaster. Williamson said the players were knackered and it showed against Crawley. There again, it's the same for every team so I'll go for a fingers crossed win and draws all round for the top 4 would be nice.

Nice work as always Alfie

Nigel Adkins' Tranmere. Not sure what to make of them. Clearly well coached and on one of those runs that could earn them a shock play off spot if they can sustain it.

H2H over the last 11 pretty even with 4 wins to Tranmere, 5 to Notts and 2 draws. From memory I don't think many of those wins were at Prenton Park. Bookies favouring Notts but Adkins is a smart operator.

Draw BTTS

Sold roughly 1200 at close of play yesterday, and my first visit to Prenton Park.

Tranny were garbage at ML, coached by a bloke massively out of his depth( same probably applies to the Morecambe bloke last night) so this is obviously gonna be a tougher test. We’ve got to transfer our home performances to our away form.

Can’t see McGoldrick appearing after he played 90+ last night so god knows who’s replacing him.

Tranmere away looks a tougher game than six weeks ago.
If we play like last night we've a fair chance of winning.
Not seen us win away yet so hoping for better this time.

Before Donny I was pretty confident about playing Stockport, but how shattered we looked last night got me worried.

I think we will see some changes, problem is those who came off the bench like Oates and Swan did not look very good either.

Against grimsby and doncaster we had no pace up top and i’d expect oates to start against stockport with akins with DKD behind.

I clough to rest both bowery and quinn last night (not because of their form) as both looked fucked at the end against grimsby.

It’ll be interesting to see how stockport play this also given they’re injuries etc, they attacked us at field mill and i remember that 2nd half absolutely crucifying them, they didn’t get close to our shadows that half.

Obviously completely different - we were very fortunate to get an equaliser there late on last season and expect it to be a tough game, would be happy with a draw.

Colchester away is a sticky one for us generally speaking. We ought to get at least something from the game, and most would be disappointed if we didn't win. We need to string some successes together to climb back up the table and this is a good opportunity to do so.

The big one against radar-avoiding Barrow.

We usually respond well to a defeat though and we will need to be right on it otherwise it'll be another one and all hell will break loose. I think Evans is back for this thankfully after his ban.

Hopefully we turn up tomorrow, we normal have a decent reaction after a loss under Parky. Evans back is massive for us. Jones back for the bench also.
Hopefully with Barnett and Forde both half fit we can have an actually RWB rather then Mendy in that side.
I'd probably take a point based off Barrows form but could really go either way. We should of beat them comfortably away but as per away can't finish and got punished. Theyve been flying since though. Old man Wild practicing his fist pumps as we speak

I'd take a draw right now, staying unbeaten over the festive period is more than I hoped.

Definite swansong for Young, possible swansong for Kemp. I’d be desperate to keep Kemp if possible out of the 2. Young is having one of his ‘quiet’ spells.

No doubt Creepy will want to avenge their 6-0 drubbing at the CG. I have no expectations of anything any more. Yesterday’s win against bottom club FGR showed little improvement in form. I’m convinced Flynn has to go.

I fancy us to grab something at Crewe. Under Hughes, I was always very fearful of encountering teams on poor runs, but under Alexander, we're a little more 'street-wise' and tougher to beat. 2-1 City.

Two centre halfs out suspended. Might get to see Mukuema start. He has looked ok in the bm trophy.

Played crap at Gillingham and won. Played well at MK and lost. We create decent chances but can't score and are always leaky at the back.

Not sure if Gladwin will play and Conroy went off injured v MK plus we have a sickness bug going around the camp.

I'd love to be confident.

For some reason Gladwin was sat with Morfuni in our directors box at our game v Wrexham.

Stockport County.
Looking at the injury situation for both teams it's a must win for Clough and arguably an away banker. But you never know.

2 draws in the big 2 games and we'll have managed to get through the toughest part of our season without losing much ground on the other top of the table teams. Wrexham away won't be easy, but it's probably the best time that we could be playing them - they could have signed half the Championships best players by this time next week (said partly tongue in cheek).

Would take a draw tomorrow. Likely lost Zac Williams to injury and we'll have to wait and see if Joe White and Connor O'Riordan remain around. Until we get some more back or players in, it'll be about scraping whatever results we can.

Home to Walsall, we couldn't fill a full bench at Salford, so down to the bare bones; no idea what team we'll be able to field tomorrow. Walsall will be full of beans having beaten Wrexham too.

Hoping for a draw!

We really need to win this one. There’ll be some very tired legs after another hour or so with 10 men Friday following the Boxing Day derby. But we have to find a way. Hopefully Gape rested for Gillingham so he can play this one which at least gives us one fresh midfielder. Assume we’ll appeal the red card but not heard anything yet. Eastmond will be back soon which will be a huge boost, him and Gape together in midfield will be a game changer if we ever get to see it regularly. 2 centre halves have both done halves each in the last 2 so might be ready to go together now. Getting closer to our strongest side slowly but surely.

I'm always confident at home nowadays, especially with Evans returning from suspension. That said Barrow clearly can't be underestimated - we will need a much better performance than against Walsall if we are to come away with the points.
