I'm not being blinded by the result - we genuinely played worse there last season when we were kicking the world's ass, people talking about us being the next invincibles etc. In the context of this season, yeah it does feel like the same old crap, but if there is a silver lining, it's that Newcastle played really well and still didn't get the usual win over us they've come to expect.

Gotta bench Fabregas for Ramires or Willian next week surely. He's off form and being targeted for it.

Felt Steve McClaren cost Newcastle the 3 points. The 2 up front (Perez and Mitrovic) were out on their feet a good 15 minutes before he subbed one of them. Newcastle couldn't get out. Should have changed it a lot earlier.

He makes me incredibly frustrated. We have some of of the best attacking talent in the country and we've gone up to the worst side in the division and played in a style only Tony Pulis of 2008 would be happy with.

He said in his interview after the game that he wanted to know why we were so bad....how about this Jose....stop playing the same underperforming unfit unmotivated 11 players every week and shake it up. There's no way Baba Rahman and Loftus Cheek couldn't have done better jobs that Fabregas and Ivanovic yesterday. There's no way Ramires/Mikel couldn't have done any worse that Matic.

Everything in that team has gone stale. The football on show since January 1st ( lost 5-3 to Spurs) has been nothing short of atrocious. We fell over the line last season....everyone knew we had to strengthen that team over the summer, I don't know if that's his fault or the people above him - either way something should have been done.

I'm not saying he should go right this minute...but if this continues towards Christmas there's a fairly good chance the reigning Champions could be struggling to finish in the top half come May.
