I didn't think it was complete luck. A draw was the fairest result (I only watched the second half though) Newcastle had plenty of chances but didn't take them. Papis Cisse was awful today. Also, Krul had an absolute howler.

It really will say a whole lot about the competition if this pile of shite finishes in the top 4. I really do hope we keep up our form to dump them where they belong, 5th or below.

I've not seen the game again, couldn't care less about the performance at this stage (though I'll judge that for myself when I've watched it back) - we've been shite all season and continued to pick up results which is fine so long as it continues.

Sorry but anyone who is paid for goalkeeping at any level should save that header. De Gea is world class of course, potentially player of the season if this awful side hangs on to top 4.

Great stuff after GeordieBoy's constant bigging up of Krul and slagging off of De Gea. Timothy will never be at David's level.

Superb tenacity from Rooney for the winner, very important 3 points given the other results tonight.

I've not seen the game again

Welcome to fatherhood.

Wait until they're four and the missus is constantly planning days out at weekends, you won't even be allowed to check the score

I haven't seen a match in a week or so mate.

And she thinks she is struggling!

The first save, however, was sensational. No right to make that save.
That said, Tim krul did get an assist. So G.B. will be happy

Expected Goals
It's a shame that a bad kick from an even worse back pass is being remembered rather than the two or three excellent saves Krul made. Abeid looked out of his depth from the first thirty seconds when he almost cost Newcastle a goal until the 89th minute when he eventually did. Man Utd were typically naff and uninspiring, but continue to hold onto the last Champions League spot somehow. I really don't know how, it's something to do with De Gea.

Bollocks. Missing the game is worse than child birth imo. She sounds like a selfish bitch, get rid.

The two most dreaded words in English... 'Soft Play'

Always come home and get a cold from the other slobbering brats.

Or worse.. 'Birthday Party'

And because the standard of the league as a whole is very low, Newcastle were even less inspiring than us.

If Newcastle had actually played football the whole game like they did for the last 2 minutes they'd have probably won. They were playing like a Non League side for the previous 90 or so, every set piece or United offside call was all about getting Krul hoofing it long, bizarre tactics from Carver.

So Cisse was a matter of centimetres away from Evans when he spat at him yet still missed? Says it all.

It was good play from Rooney, the rest of the game however, fucking hell. Just absolutely turgid to watch. Van Gaal's tactics have no balls, they take no chances, make no runs, it's all about keeping possession and not losing. Newcastle offered absolutely nothing, a more adventurous team with this talent would paste them.

It was good play to get the ball into the box, but he had lost the ball by then and played no part in it being misplaced by Newcastle when it should have been smashed to the halfway line or row z.

It wouldn't have been more of a gift if it had come in fancy wrapping paper with a receipt in case they wanted to exchange it for a different size.

'Phlegmmy Evans' has proven once again that 'Avoiding ban'chester United are a continued disgrace to football.

So United 'fans', what excuse are you intending on using to protect another disgraceful display of sportsmanship?
