I have to sort've hope you fail because if you get top 3 I will be annoyed at our idiot board and their ridiculous 'must have former L2 experience so get a bad L2 experience manager' approach

Must admit that I'd never heard of the guy, but having read up on him it looks as if this could be a fantastic appointment. Promotions with Ross County from Divisions 2 and then 1 are impressive in themselves... but he also once managed to get them a 40 match unbeaten run which is obviously incredible, plus when he won division 1 he did so by 24 points or something ridiculous. And then in the top flight, he took Ross County a point away from european football in his first season up...

So yeah, very impressive resume. I give him 2 weeks until the fans want him out.

I agree that his CV is quite impressive.

However a few questions/doubts I have after reading up on the bloke.

- Why is he hated by pretty much all of Scotland?
- Why was he sacked by Ross County and been out of a job for nearly a year?
-No experience of English league 2.
-Where will he sign players from. Obviously he will have a few contacts in Scotland but not everyone will want to move down that far.

He was the guy who took Ross County who play in a town with a total population of 5,500 into the SPL with a couple of promotions.

but he was as said above absolutely loathed by Scottish football fans so he is like the Scotland equivalent of Evans I guess.

Adams couldn't have made a better first impression. He comes across as confident but not arrogant, he sets realistic expectations, calls us Argyle and not Plymouth (so refreshing) and best of all, he wants to work with the younger players, something John Sheridan never did.

Yeah, all valid points really. One thing I left out of that resume earlier is that he once managed to get something like an 18 game ban for whatever reason. Perhaps has a bit of a dickish side to him. But then again, so does Ian Holloway, and the man nearly took us to the premier league... so swings and roundabouts

Just need to hope all of that is behind him...

I don't think it's a bad appointment but I do hope it finally puts the Argyle fans thoughts to bed that they're this massive club that can attract great candidates.

One look at Pasoti last week and they actually thought they could attract names like Brian McDermott, John Carver, Tisdale, Holloway etc. You've got some unemployed bloke from Scotland who none of you had ever heard of.

You're not this huge club which every manager wants to take over. You're shit.
