Absolutely laughable nonsense.

The points deduction is nonsense but the rest isnt... its poor from Crewe who are clearly looking to gain an unfair advantage on the rest of the league by being "Gifted" three points whilst in a play off/promotion battle.

If it was Bradford or FGR in the position Crewe are in you'd all be spitting feathers about the possibility of missing out on promotion to a side handed 3 points without earning them.

Postponed games happen all the time but not because teams fail to pay their players. Every time a game gets postponed for this kind of reason, it's a stain on the competition. It's a desperately sad situation and the EFL should be absolutely ashamed that the Macc players have been put in to this position. Suggesting it's just another postponed game is a ludicrous position to take.

Ok so lets say this drags on the next 4 or 5 league games and they all get P-P (we are playing them in three weeks or so in this) are you suggesting 4 or 5 teams should be handed a 3 point advantage over the other 19-20 teams?

Crewe's argument is that they feel they'll be at a disadvantage later in the season. I'm not totally sure I agree with that position entirely but I see where they're coming from.

Everything from that post was nonsense. Nobody has a beef with Macc's players but the club should not be able to get away with this mismanagement

Macc failing to pay their players is bad for the image of the league, I agree.

But if you're talking about the integrity of the competition, all other options other then this being postponed and played at a later date are worse.

I'm not suggesting anything about the points. I'm not saying we should be given the points as I'm not really sure what I think about that at the moment.

That's swings and roundabouts, Crewe get a slight advantage this week with it being off ahead of a cup reply so rather than playing a side who've had 2 games in a week your opponents next week face you much fresher... not to mention for Eastleigh who have to face a Crewe side with 10 days rest.

Its crazy to suggest for the reasons of "league integrity" as it was worded that Crewe should be handed 3 points when everyone else who plays them will have to earn the points.

I imagine our squad will be substantially weaker once January comes around so you may not be too disadvantaged playing us later in the season. For us it's a very profitable game so it's vital we get it played.

What is it with Port Vale and shit parody accounts? That's 2 now. Very weird behaviour.

I just hope they announce a solution soon. In my mind, they go one of 2 ways. One(most likely), they postpone and buy themselves another week to try and get some money out of the owner, which seems unlikely. But it would give them more time to try and solve things.

2nd is they find a way to pay the players and staff and ask them to play tomorrow. I don't see that happening though, it would buy them a month before they needed to do it all again. Plus would the Macc players suddenly be mentally recovered enough to play?

Frustrating, but use the extra rest and get prepared for the big game on Tuesday against Eastleigh.

Just the two? I can’t separate the parody from the non-parody.

Tying themselves in knots here with faux outrage and trying to find a reason for being so damn angry besides the fact it’s because it’s us (because we aren’t rivals, yeh).

Not seen Eubank on here for a week or so actually!

After the Bradford game and not being able to finance this months wages still and losing your game tomorrow it will look very bleak indeed for their future.

It would be the same if it was anyone else.

Are there any players worth taking in the Macclesfield fire sale or when they become free agents?

Most of their first team players could probably improve any team fighting relegation. The irony being that if Macclesfield do go then there'll be little point spending money to fight relegation. Maybe some of them would be of interest to promotion-chasing teams but not many, AFC Fylde will be all over the rest.

Frustrating, but I understand the Macc players position on this. I expect the EFL will tell us to replay the fixture in the new year, which isn't great, but it shouldn't hit us that badly. We won't get the points, there would be uproar from most of the other top half teams if we did.

Big few days for Macc now... if next week gets called off also then things will start to look very bleak.

Assume the EFL will severely punish them to make an example after the flack they've had over Bolton and their demand for them to get point deductions. (Added in the current charge they face).

Hope they sort it but seems this fella in charge doesnt want to go?

Its a bad situation for Macc, and about to get worse with a points deduction. You can only hope that the lunatic owner sees sense, and lets someone else takeover and restore some pride and hope in the club.

The issue seems to be like with Bury who's going to take over a club owing lots of money? As you need big spending just to get on an even keel.

Administration would be the likely outcome I expect, they've had an alright season so maybe could take the 12 point hit and fight to stay up.... although adding any other punishments may make that harder.

I dont think Macc are anything like the car crash that Bury were. Im assuming that the overdue tax isn't in the millions, and after that its SC's payment and the overdue wages. Its not beyond saving unless other debts surface.

The debt for the Tax was about 180k a couple of months ago I believe, issue is the longer it drags on without getting sorted the worse it gets.

Did they ever pay up salaries from last year for players like Evans who cancelled his contract and came to us?

I know the situation is bad but I hope they can sort it out asap. But to answer your question, I would take Ben Stephens. He looks to me to be the kind of player that can come up with something when the game's a bore and everybody's playing with their smartphones. And as dull boring matches are, sadly, quite common down here at this level, I find that players of his ilk are valuable assets to have in your match day squad.

I don't know about other Macc fans but I find it really hard to actually write things about the position we're in. Not because it hurts but it just feels like we're slowly dieing and it's not very nice to talk about.

I've just no idea how this comes to an end in a positive way. Joe Sealey remains interested in taking over the club but I fully expect him to eventually get a look at the books and just find even more horror stories and put him off. He's said it will probably take about £800k to wipe out all the debts and get the club back on an even keel. The issue is that Amar actually thinks the club has a monetary value on top of this which is completely mental.

He's ok, not kicked on like i thought he would. I tipped him to be our POTY last year but struggled a bit. He needs to get a lot better at the dirty parts of the job, but i defo think there's a decent togger player in there.

In terms of others Paddy Osadebe has been good this year, Nathan Cameron is still decent and has been fairly good with injuries in general. Theo Archibald is apparently attracting L1 interest anyway and has scored a few goals from the wing. Jay Harris does a decent job in the middle of the park but is getting on a bit, and whilst he wasn't overly hyped by people on here, Jak McCourt has been a key component in the side always looking to play positively.

A lot of Macc fans believe this is the best squad we've had as a league club, i'm not so sure myself but they function pretty well together and vast majority are young so could have some good futures.
