Lightning crack above the crowd as they hurried into Steady's Tavern. Lukey was already in there serving up some stew of some kind. Ciderhead96 prodded the strange meat with his fork, this certainly wasn't the sort of stuff he was used to. He wondered what noise the meat made when it was alive, moo? oink? meow? The rest of the village had fled after the attack but 35 hardy souls had remained. They looked at each other as they had a pint to steady their nerves. They were all agreed on one thing, they needed to find a leader.

I would like to put my hat in the ring for the currently vacant position of mayor. I've got to know everyone in the village (except for the stranger) and whilst circumstances could have been better, I've not gained any satisfaction from doing my day job.
