There is so much willy waving in this thread my head hurts!

Gonna temporarily lock this one as its completely gone on a tangent. Will reopen it for the weekends fixtures.

Once its reopened could we leave the willy waving out please?

Thanks

60 Woking fans wondering how they haven't won at Guiseley.

Of those 85, 30 or so had quite clearly rocked up for a fight as proven after the game when they all left en masse and, by all accounts, got their wish and had a scrap in a pub.

After taking the piss previously, credit where it's due, that is not a bad effort from Chester. I know it's like Grimsby playing in Immingham but take a look at the League 1 and 2 followings, 1526 is better than nearly all of them. I'm amazed how shit some of them are - Coventry at Scunny, Wigan at Port Vale, the uber massive Bratfud at Fleetwood, all well below that.

Apparently they were Tottenham hooligans?

The away end at Tranmere holds 2,200 and was virtually full, so how come only 1,526.

It wasn't nearly full at all. Front five rows were totally empty, as was a big chunk on the left. Add to that a few empties among the fans, and 1,500 sounds spot on.

70% of home support to a game that isn't even your main rivalry is excellent, end of.

Apparently so.

You could tell straight away they weren't Boreham Wood fans. They all came in as a group, mouthy as anything, dressed in your typical 'I'm here to cause trouble' gear and stuck out like sore thumbs. Not to mention leaving 10/15 minutes before the end as one.

Must have been some there that weren't Boreham Wood fans given their home support and how they usually travel.
Tottenham, Watford "fans" that are local to boreham wood, banned from their club I believe.

..but besides from getting judged by Lincoln fans, ChrisFGR and GTFC1979's first date was actually alright. ♡

Yes it was a good effort from Chester but we too would probably take 70% of our home support there given it is least than 20 miles away and there is a motorway connection and a train every 15 minutes. Problem is we can`t due to the size of their ground. Just a pity that some of their "support" seemed more interested in abusing Tranmere fans than they were in the game. But having said that it will probably be some of our idiots doing exactly the same at their place.

Meh, you always get a few, just like the few Tranmere fans frothing at the mouth in the corner of the main stand, who deliberately came as close to us as possible, I'm surprised they caught the goals as they just seemed to stare at us with two fingers up the entire match.

For me, the most entertaining thing about today was the Tranmere fan who ran on the pitch and did the worm in the centre circle and then various somersaults whilst undressing. The fella had the freedom of Birkenhead out there, the stewards and police basically just enjoying the show themselves watching on from the side-lines!

A mate of mine has texted me to say they were from Luton.

Tannoy annouced 154 Shots, it was certainly more than 104. They had to open the next section for us.
It WAS announced as 104 and that looked about right to me.

6000 home fans there yesterday, you would definitely bring more than your allocation will allow but no chance would you bring over 4000.

Looks like this could be a crucial game in the title race, they have given us 900 tickets which are already sold out and by the sounds of it quite a few Robins fans already have tickets for the home areas. Not sure if there are any active Forest Green fans on here but it makes sense to open another terrace for us or at least give us 500 more tickets for the night.

I know it's September but both sides have quite public aspirations of winning the league so surely it's a fair comment. Not saying yourselves or Grimsby won't fancy your chances either mind.

But to say it's 'a crucial game' is a bit strange at this stage.

I wouldn't describe this as crucial, in reality it is little more than having a chance to earn early season bragging rights, there is still a very long way to go. As for the ticket situation, I expect you will get the normal away end and a block of seats in the main stand, which is probably about 900. To give you any more would mean turfing our fans out of the terrace opposite the main stand, very unlikely to happen, which would probably add up to around 2000. Without wishing to burst your bubble, we only ever do that when a big team like Derby County or Bristol Rovers visit.

We have sold the 900 you gave us already and now Robins fans are buying in the home areas, it seems stupid not to give us more with your current home gates.
