Are you posting on this section of this forum in preparation for Crewe being the next Tranmere and playing at this level 18 months hence?
It might look like that but won't happen.
We've been in continuous membership of the Football League since 1921 and ain't giving it up any time soon.

There's a few down here who had been in the league longer than that, seem remember you guys applying for re-election back in the day.
It catches up with you in the end.

Yes,we've been known to apply for re-elecion on the odd occasion though you'd have to go back about 34 years for the last time we finished in the bottom 4 of the bottom division.

90 Nuneaton at Stockport was the confirmed turnout. Brackley v FCUM drew 660, so imagine 350-400 FCUM

Around 60 Macc fans at Truro earlier which is a decent turnout for us considering the distance and competition.

But this is history potentially for your club, no? Something money can't buy. The chance to leave the likes of Braintree, Boreham Wood and Welling and join the likes of Pompey, Plymouth etc (should they fail).

Maybe Vince's wet green dream does have a price after all. Either that or the more likely reason - even your own fans can't be arsed.

I was there. Do I get a medal?

FGR never have good followings do they though? They've been a top 5 team in this league for years yet still travel terribly in numbers.

Only IF they get into the FL will that improve as they'll be full of day-trippers going to the bigger grounds.
Perhaps for the first week or two but they'll soon fall in with the Crawley model and be taking 3 to Port Vale on a Tuesday night. Clubs like FGR, Crawley etc that have to buy their way in, have no business being in the Football League at all. Not while REAL football clubs are dying a slow and painfull death down here.:told:

And it'll get worse for us all to get promoted next season with new parachute payment scheme for the newly relegated clubs from the league starts in the summer.

Eastleigh managed a home attendance of 436 yesterday in the FA Trophy. This comes a week after they got 5000 in the FA Cup #legacy. No matter how much money you have, how many free tickets, how massively subsidised the season tickets are, you will always be Tinpot. Hilarious.

It's a bit like the JPT or whatever it's called now. 2168 turned up for your game v Wigan, but guess you'll get more next weekend for the league game. Though 3008 at home to Beastleigh in the FA Cup is a bit dismal...

Yes,people just aren't interested in any cup matches unless it's a derby/big name club/semi-final onwards,etc.
Our league game against those plucky ex non-leaguers Wigan will probably draw around 5,500 despite us being bottom and conceding for fun.
Years ago the FA Cup meant bumper crowds-no matter who you were playing or what round.

Wow, where were they for the play-off semi final?

Shaymen - what's your maximum away allocation?

The max away allocation is what we allocated Bradford City last season which was 4450... I think

Cheers. I read on the football ground guide that it was 2000, which possibly, if we were to win a few between now and then, would have left some GTFC supporters disappointed. Always wanted to go to the Shay, looks like a cracking ground.

I love how angry B2TF gets about clubs that have the slightest bit of ambition hahaha :brill::£

1. Nobody is more ambitious than us.
2. As you well know, my beef is with nothing clubs like yours attempting to buy a place in the greatest league in the world. :£

Halifax are a nothing club, only founded 8 years ago. Very little history in comparison to even Eastleigh :fish:

A far cry from the old Shay...which was a right dump and made our ramshackle heap at the time look half decent.

The 2 terraces behind each goal were built to hold 4000 each but H & S put a limit of 2000 on them. The proper football clubs, like yourselves, are given honour of the Skircoat, or West stand which seats 2000, and used to be the home stand, with the option of also opening the North terrace if need be. Only the Tin Potters are shunted to the north end of the East stand, where we don't have to look at them, or hear them, and they can busy themsleves with whatever it is that troglodytes do when left to their own devices. :dk:
