Christ, that's as pitiful as it gets.

Reading the league 1 thread there's some terrible followings in general, even to relatively local games.
We've outnumbered you at your Welsh home in the 3rd div.
I'd say that was more pitiful.

If they ever end up down here it will be a pleasure to play a team of such magnitude!
We won't be going that way-we're solid Football League-the 92 just wouldn't be the same without our famous old name.
Might be just aswell for you-we usually return from Cleethorpes with a victory.

In recent years we usually have.
Think you need to take a bit of a closer look, maybe this time with your eyes open.
We have only played you here once in the League in the last 14 years and you beat us 4 - 0 in our relegation season in 2010, very well done.
Last time before that here was in 2001 when we beat you 1 - 0.
So which are these 'recent' years when you have usually beaten us here?
If you are talking about pre 2000 then that is hardly recent is it?

We beat you in the Lge Cup in about 2005.

To get back on topic there was a poor amount of FGR fans at our place on Saturday. Youd never think they were top of the league.

That's funny, none of you have ever mocked our away support before, oh wait, you do it all the time. It's getting pretty boring now, don't you think? Did you expect us to bring hundreds?

There will be quite a few in this league who bring fewer then 90 to your place, it's a long trip from here and the weather was pretty poor, with quite a few thinking it might get called off late (like Guiseley) some didn't want to risk it. Not everyone can afford to waste money like that..

Did you bring them all in your 4x4?

It's only 2 and a half hours away. Hardly the ends of the earth. If you are a club with league ambitions you have to expect a bit of ribbing if one man and his dog turn up for a game on a Saturday.

Also I'm pretty unoriginal.

In that weather it's more.

Why? Does how many fans you take away determine what league your in? It's not like gate receipts are shared is it, the home gates going up is the main thing, which they are. And technically, it would have been 45 men and their dogs for those of us that can count.

I'm pretty unoriginal.

No arguments there.

Right back at you slick. You aren't up yet and so far we've come closer than you have to getting promoted out of this league.

Im actually not bitter at all. If you go up its entirely based on the largesse of one man. If he moves on then the fan apathy ensures there won't be a forest green rovers anymore. If that doesn't bother you then fine. Enjoy your modest success.

Blah blah blah blah....

It's like you're constantly stuck on repeat -_- why does every thread about attendances always turn into a conversation about our owner etc... So bitter. Change the bloody record!

Because you are a rich mans toy. He's using you as a marketing tool. When he's bored you will be consigned to oblivion. That's a shame given the history of your club. I read a lot about how the fan base is being grown but there is little to no evidence of that other than some vain hope people from Stroud and further afield will turn up when your new ground is built.

I'm actually really pleased we are a fan owned club, you are welcome to ypur sugar daddy. We are part of the solution. You are part of the problem.

How many football teams are owned by the rich? Do the maths it's modern day football, yes your club used to be big, used to be successful and now you're an old toy nobody wants anymore, you're clubs nothing compared to what it was.

Bored now

Look at the stats. We're averaging around 1600 this season, which is something like an 80% increase on 5 years ago, maybe even more.

I'm not Welsh. Clues in the name.

So you're English, but support a Welsh club. Says it all really. Who's you're real team?

Wrexham were quite big for a short time at the end of the 70's when they were in Div 2 and averaging 11,000 plus.
And they have largish fair-weather support spanning across N.Wales who'll turn up for the big games.
But presently they're non-league.
Bit of a shame,that.For them,I mean. ;p
