We have a pretty good away support, one of the best in the league I would say!, normally we bring about 300-400 most games, but in rivalries, like Fylde, Chester and FC United we take at least 1000 (Chester aren't in our league any more but we still hate them!) Home attendances are also very good, 1000 every week, we play in the conference north so attendances aren't as big but some are still big

Rivalry, Chorley and Chester? You must be on a wind up.

You never had any where near 1000 at our place either time you played us, you had about 300 at best when we played on a Saturday. Half of that for the midweek game.

Average travel distances are huge in this League this season, with Barrow added to Dover. About half the games in League one are almost local derbies in comparison...
We have Lincoln at 72, then next closest is Halifax at 175 and Guiseley at 180. Northern teams in League One maybe have an average about that or less.

Tranmere are quite lucky this year. Chester is just a 34 miles round trip. Southport is about 46 miles, and Wrexham is 60 miles. Altrincham is 82 miles, and Macclesfield comes in just below 100 miles all in. Looking forward to all of them :)

…whereas our nearest games are 250 mile round trips, give or take. Both of which are in the same week.:dk:

Yep. Wish we were still in League Two as the south west is heavily represented currently!

If you don't think it's a rivalry then you are not a true Chester supporter, the riots at the ground can prove it

When
Do you know if it's segregated or not at Guiseley? If it isn't, then all we're going to get are crowd estimates this year, unfortunately.
We played them last year twice at their place, and both times it wasn't segregated

So when it's conveniant, they are indeed Chorley fans and not Blackburn or whoever on a day trip, like as was claimed at the time.

I don't really count a few fifteen year old kids who've never lived, getting wound up on facebook, as my rivals.

Everyone around here hates that trampy place!
You said the C word in your sentence, that's a horrible word!:bg1:

You are allowed to dislike them, they are extremely unlikeable, but that still doesn't make them rivals. Decades of bitterness and scores of games makes rivals.

Now I've never been (except to the Deva on two evening occasions when it was dark) but isn't Chester supposed to be a beautiful city?

Hands off, their OUR rivals now... :box:
That leaves us with the bumpkins from Shrewsbury :(

Chester is a lovely city. Well worth a visit.

The football club are in a collection of shoeboxes at the arse end of an out of town retail park.

I always thought Chorley was made up by Peter Kay. So I've learnt somehing today.

just the west stand, where the away fans are housed in the farthest corner of the ground. Proper international switching the ball from the left wing to the right, across a national border.

Having grown up in South Wirral, I spent a lot of time in Chester. School trips and the like, dressing up as Roman gladiators and prancing around looking at the amphitheatre. It's like a York-lite. Nice place, on the whole.

Chorley, on the other hand, is somewhere I had the misfortune of living for a year. What an utter dive of a place.

That's a myth, the whole pitch is in Wales as well as the stands. Just a small corner of the office is on the English side of the border.
