140 miles, only Wrexham and Chester will take more there.... and don't forget Tranmere 'only' took about 3-400 to Lincoln last year when they had plenty to play for

As Luke mentioned earlier our third Saturday in a row on the road as well!
Who draws up these bloody fixture lists?

Probably the same person who decided to put what would probably be our highest away attended and visiting numbers on Tuesday nights i.e. Wrexham and York.

That's the same for everyone I'm afraid. I'm sure we'll all see a drop in attendances for the local games this season. We play Chester, Wrexham, York, Barrow and Gateshead on Tuesdays.

At least you have some teams that you can call local, our closest is Solihull Moors which is something like 70 miles away, after that I think it is Torquay!

Yeah our local trips are midweek, and I'm perfectly okay with it. Would rather go to Bromley than Barrow on a Tuesday night!

York, Barrow and especially Gateshead are hardly local!!

I think our average round trip this season is over 300 miles by car, and with no Alty, as well as losing trips to Kidderminster and Halifax, our away average is going to take a battering.

If you take the fastest route by car on Google Maps to our away games, 11 of them are over 390 mile round trips!!

Shit init? Finally at home on Saturday this coming,me and my daughter can't wait!

Whilst we're at home on Saturday, we're kicking off at 12:15, which for this exiled Sutton-ite leaving the house at 4am, so I feel your pain Tranmere fans

Still, I would much rather be in this league, it's not the worst problem to have.

Solihull have the lowest average trip though of anybody. Their central location helps. No big north/south slogs

Think you're right, that's what I heard over the tannoy anyway.
What's happened to Chester's support, they were taking 800 away 3 years ago and their once mighty home support is now less than 2000. A somewhat spectacular collapse. Probably need a Wembley win and a a relegation to reinvigorate themselves. :bdick:

One win away on a Saturday in 12 months, not playing great, long trip, poured down all day. Take your pick

Given all that, is 132 a disgrace? Not really the place we’re ever going to go to in our droves.

Home support, a bit down but we've been really average (at best) for a while now, need a good spell.

Hereford will experience it too.... there's only so long smashing pub teams is attractive/novelty, as even if they keep going up, they'll still be playing Conference North/South in 2 years. Although the North is relatively attractive now, the thought of yet more slogs to places where there's 350 fans is too familiar and tiresome, so by the time they get back to the Conference, their support had dwindled to way below what it was when they started. Chester had just under 250 at Boston a few years ago, which may have been more than they took in the league/conference days with the old club. And probably more than they'd take now if it were a league game

Yep bound to happen, you're on the up and there's a huge feel good factor, plus it's cheaper. We took huge amounts to small clubs in the Evo-Stik and Conference North, there were a few longer trips in there as well.

Good fun at the time but never going to last forever.

26 was the official FGR figure.

Official figure? It was unsegregated. 26 on the coach maybe. Not everyone travels to games on the coach.

Definitely 30-40 altogether. Which isn't far off an average Glos City home gate these days.;)

I definitely counted 26 in the away end first half on the telly. Yes there were that few of you I could easily make you all out!

There was no away end. It was unsegregated. Some of our fans were down the side or in the seats.

Chris is right here, several of the older folk on the coach never trekked up the Dover End with us first half. Anyway, now we've settled that important matter, did I look cool on the telly?

As I said it was a good game for the neutral, very enjoyable and entertaining. Still think if you took 30-40 that's still poor for a team winning what was it 5 or 6 on the trot?
