Just what people are used to I suppose.

I'd find it incredibly weird not being segregated for competitive games. That, and being able to switch goals at HT - now that's different. I didn't even realise that was a 'thing' until our first fixture back down here at Southport and the fans moved from behind a goal next to our segregated area. That's the only time it's happened to a game I've been to tbf.

The only time I've noticed it since was an FA Cup game on the highlights show a couple of weeks back, but I can't recall who.

Ah, the greatly missed half time migration. Used to happen all the time at Aldershot pre gestapo days.
You must be a young 'un as it happened alot in the lower leagues in the FL, even at your place along that open terrace.
One of the most striking ones was at Oakwell where it would appear that the entire crowd would move from behind the goal to the terrace along the side and the paddock. Honourable mentions to Plymouth, Chesterfield, Reading and Sarfend.

51 Daggers at Halifax, top effort. What FGR would take to Aldershot whilst top of the league on a Saturday ain't it.

Oh dear, made yourself look a fool with that example mate. We took around 100 to Aldershot in midweek this season.

We didn't ever take many to Halifax tbf. Can you blame us? I went there (it was shit), tried to find out who B2TF was but no one had heard of him. Funny that.

Apparently 132 hardy souls made the journey up to Rochdale, I'm always left in awe of our away fans and that many taking such a long journey midweek is a fine example of why

Halifax have one of the best grounds in non league Chris, not sure how you can really call it shit apart from to try and annoy B2TF of course.

It's falling to pieces and stuck in the past. Bit like B2TF really.

We were at Bradford City in the youth cup. A crowd of just over 300 saw Bradford win 2-1. Imagine 60-70 were from Boston. Probably more than we'll take on a Saturday to Bradford Park Avenue in the league in January!!!! (If it's on)

Eh?

Check back on this thread mate, we took around 100 to Aldershot on a Tuesday, not brilliant I know but nearly twice what you claimed we'd take on a Saturday. So your claim was bollocks. Fact.

I'd say you were trolling and trying to distract people away from your piss poor support last night.

To be fair to Chris, although he posts some extraordinary provocative muses in support of FGR (some which make me hold my hands in despair), on this thread he is correct.
Halifax B2TF has an unhealthy obsession In knocking FGR especially our away attendance figures.
And to be honest there is a fair amount of animosity between his club and FGR. That is presumably why his outrageous postings about FGR is not challenged by the Halifax fraternity, as they should be.
Unfortunately Chris rises to the bait every time Halifax B2TF posts something daft about FGR.
So do please read between the lines when there is a ding-dong.

I'm not aware of any animosity between our clubs, could you shed some light on this?

My ill will is a personal prejudice towards all of the Mickey Mouse operations whose "success" is founded on some rich tosser's bank account. The damage they do to the game in general and to the clubs who have to compete with them in particular should have every right thinking person crying foul. I'll never consider them the equal of any of the real football clubs and the same goes for their fans, who lap it up. They're all fair game to me. :bdick::bdick::bdick:

Woking do this as well. Was a very weird experience seeing that for the first time.

You can't just paint all bankrolled clubs with the same brush though, like sure a lot of the owners who bankroll are literal scum (EG Oyston, Tan etc) but no need to take it out on the fans unless they're dicks. Vince seems like a right tool but most FGR fans are alright, and the dude who runs Eastleigh (can't remember the name) looks like he's a nice guy judging by his recent actions at his own expense. Honestly I don't mind either BR NL club

Yes I can. There are 2 ways a club can progress above its natural level. There is the hard but right way, which is to recruit players you can naturally afford. If this means paying them beer money, so be it. Then you set about improving them, by employing good coaching and tactics. An goid example would be Crewe Alexandra. Crewe used to be our bed fellows at the bottom of the Football League. Then Dario Gradi happened. This way is worthy of great respect.

Then there is the lazy way. This involves a pillock with monopoly money adopting the club as his hobby and tipping wheelbarrows of the stuff into the club. This means you don't have to do any work to reap the rewards, you just pay large amounts of money to professional footballers, who've never heard of your club, to persuade them to drop down a few divisions. This way takes the piss out of all the other clubs trying to make their honest way in the world and is worthy of absolutely no respect whatsoever. In fact, it is contemptible. :ds:

345 very happy Imps in a crowd of 2145 at FGR
Shame it was a TV game for no other reason than many more would have gone if it wasn't (and at a sensible time for away fans).

There were 61 Macc fans in the away end (counted). The figure read out was lower but a fair few (including us 5) went through the home turnstiles.

Aldershot fans were probably the loudest I've come across all season, even with them losing for much of the game.
