Insane support that. Did they make it to general sale? Sounds very much like we'll be shifting a few more if we get them too.

We’ve worked out what’s going on with our allocations now - it’s because once we get past that initial 2,000 or whatever it is they have to open a whole new area of the stand and get it staffed, stewarded etc, so we’ll give more but you’d have to be confident of shifting lots of them.

I'd say that the sooner it gets sorted the better. Seemed like plenty of people have missed out, but there's obviously no guarantees. Would be very surprised if we got over 3,000 but I think 2,500 is maybe achievable with it being pay day for a lot today. Never used to the case at your place, was always just as many as we wanted but perhaps the cost of these extra blocks is more of an issue now that you're bringing in less money in the home ends compared with when we were last playing each other in League Two. What you don't want to do is make the decision to allocate more tickets at like 4:30pm on Wednesday or Thursday morning as it's kind of pointless then. Needs to be tomorrow morning latest, in my opinion.

That's exactly what GTFC said to me last week - I jumped online straight away when they went on sale on Friday because I needed a few for an exiles day out. Another 600 would be about right.

Still rubbish overall though isn't it - how football fans are treated sometimes. As soon as the COVID restriction was lifted just give us the 4k from the outset. Exiles bringing their mates who don't support GTFC for a day out - Nottingham is decent for that. Who knows how many would be sold, MK Dons give out huge allocations and they get loads of away fans going (though feck knows why I'd much rather have a day out in Notts). Any road up I expect we'll sell the 500...

The additional 500 Notts sent us have sold out in an hour so 2,500 sold in total. They've probably missed out on a bit of money by not sending us more. Will be too late for a 3rd batch I guess.

Damn, that's a shame. Did he try today? Tell him to keep an eye on The Fishy, someone might end up selling one. I'll PM you on here if anyone I know is getting rid of one.

First block of tickets (331) sold out for Barnet in just over 12 hours. Once they've sorted out their own HR problems internally, I'm imagining another block will be opened up for away supporters. I'll be getting mine nearer the time, numbers should be similar to the 700 or so Barnet brought here.

I wasn't at the match at the weekend, but I've heard nothing but good things about your support at our place by the way. Been praised on our podcast, on our forum and by anyone I've spoken to who was at the match.

We’ll be going on how many GTFC reckon you can sell, clearly doing yourselves down!

How sure about that are you? I can't see why we'd have only asked for 500 when we had a reserve list, plenty of interest and have taken decent numbers there in the past. Someone's balls'd up somewhere anyway.

Just can’t see any other reason for us not to give you more now the Covid passes have gone. The only times I can ever remember us restricting away followings are that Wrexham game a few weeks ago with the Covid stuff and when it looked like we might play Mansfield or Lincoln in the play-offs and we said we’d only match their allocations for us.

Yeah, I don't ever remember being restricted at your place before but I'd be very surprised if the initial restriction of 2,000 was our choice, especially after you mentioned the extra costs of opening up additional blocks. Could be a police thing perhaps.

I can’t really think of a reason behind it either. Still, a decent payday for us. Should be a gate well in excess of 8k. Yet again the NL putting L2 to shame.

I think the way it works (not totally sure on this, but can remember reading it somewhere, possibly about another club) is that we have to give the standard allocation of 10% of the capacity of whatever it is, but if clubs want more than that they have to buy them off Notts directly and then sell them on.

It’s one of the reasons we stopped pay on the day, I think. There’s been a few examples of clubs massively overestimating their away support and leaving us with loads of food to chuck etc.

He would need 3 or 4 as he was planning on going with a few of him mates if enough tickets were available.
I’m working so they were all gonna go by train.

We did sing for most of the 90 minutes so that always helps. I did enjoy the "You're not singing anymore" chant from some of the supporters in the Pontoon Stand after Efete put Grimsby 2-0 up only for us to start up again and keep on singing until the end of the match.

You’ll have more than us at the game

Highly doubtful, but clearly events from Saturday and the bad optics haven't helped Barnet one iota.
