Current estimates and figures from the North. Averages along the bottom are what the team takes away. Average down the side is visitors to that team's home stadium. Use commonsense, Stockport take 459 away on average and not 153 (unless of course, it's Boston, where they are notoriously pish at travelling to)
Let me know if any of the estimates are wildly off, as I understand it is common for people to quote 380 visitors in a crowd of 412 and stuff like that or that you had 173 at a game 150 miles away on a cold winter night but all spread out :animatedf:
upload_2018-4-5_23-25-29.png

Average down by 15-20 on last year. (Home crowds down 60-70 too from 1180)
Darlington and York travel well compared to home gates, Darlington especially due to distance. Blyth do quite well given their location, as do Spennymoor. The clutch of clubs in that region gives them all games where they'd take much larger turnouts, unlike us who only have the glamour of Gainsborough....

Our average will be boosted with big followings at all our last 3 away games to FCUM, Spennymoor & Stockport.

FCUM will be around 3/400.
Spennymoor will be around 1300.
Stockport will be around 5/600.

I can’t see you taking anywhere near 1300 to Spenny, let alone a Thursday evening in a meaningless game.

Our closest game of the season. We'll take 1000 easy, 1300 max imo.

All depends on two factors really, a lot of fans might just fuck this game off by not giving Spennymoor the gate receipts on a match where no doubt we'll having nothing to play for other than pride, or diminish Spenny's play-off chances? Or help to achieve our goal by donating the money towards Tommy Wright's £80,000 player's budget target, for next season' promotion push.

And then you've got fans like me that wouldn't miss a game regardless of what night the game was on, or i couldn't give a damn even if we hadn't nothing to play for. It's a difficult one for the supporters with the season coming to an end? But i was at York this season on a Tuesday night and we took over 1,000.

Going off that attendance table, plus been to all the away games i think our away support has been slightly somewhat disappointing this season. Been a bit hit and miss for my liking throughout the season.

I think once we got rid of Martin Gray and his cronies, and got through that sticky patch, they picked up slightly when TW got his house in order.

I can't wait to get this season out of the way, and start with a much more stronger squad for 2018/19.

Darlington do travel well given relatively long trips and their home gates (though I suspect people don't bother going to home games given the quality of the new ground) Particularly in Midlands they get good turnouts for games essentially 200 miles away. Do you get many exiles at games? Seems like the network to get exiles to away games works if there are groups of fans down south.

Looks like North Ferriby consistently have 7 hardcore fans who travel to their away games.

Our final day game at Sutton is all ticket - we've been given 1,050 tickets. If we need anything from the game I think it will be a sell out from our end

We do travel well in numbers at most games but our fan base has gradually disappeared over the years, with the humiliating of dropping through the leagues, which didn't help matters, also administration as well as having charlatan chairman's that have ruined the club over the years (yeah the ground doesn't attract a lot of supporters with the animosity with ground sharing with the egg chasers). Further you go towards the Midlands and possibly the South we do have a lot of exiles who attend the away games, they definitely make up the numbers as well as the fans travelling from Darlington on match days.

Can’t you just use last season’s ticket to get in?

No, only tinpot clubs with weak barriers do that sort of thing....

175 Maidenhead at the Rec today, making it the second poor away following at our place this week.

Must admit I thought it was hilarious when their fans called our support s**t, given we took 4 times as many to their place as they brought today!

50 or so from Boston at Darlington Hard to tell as we were all strung out on the flat standing behind a goal :bg: At least weather gods were OK and we got a rare away win

107 Torquay at Dover

Rumour had it that many got stuck on the M25 and turned around knowing that they wouldn't make it even for the second half. Those that did make it were a credit and certainly made the majority of the noise at Crapple... only time Dover fans made any sound whatsoever was for about 2 minutes after their fortunate penalty. They're going for the play-offs and the place was like a bloody library.

Wasn't you singing on your own at one stage was it Josh in the first half :bg: Yeah I was gonna post 50/70 or so but you beat me to it. Decent following that considering nobody comes to Darlo.
Lovely away end in it, the weather gods weren't looking good an hour before kick-off.
