Cracking bunch, best visiting supporters we've had this season.

Not too bad, in 2015 Grimsby brought 1700 in February though:bdick:
And what a great time we all had watching a team we'd beaten 7-0 earlier in the season put 3 goals past us in the first half an hour. :2thumb:

Halifax claiming there was 1900 home fans and 1185 away despite the away terrace being twice as full as the home one :eyes:

Thought the figure was about right tbh.

What a great ground the Shay is though. My first visit, but was well impressed. Loads of character, and I bet it's bouncing when it's full.

1) The away terrace wasn't "twice as full"
2) You completely ignore the East Stand which contains the majority of the home fans.
3) I've seen 3500 (Bradford) , 2000 (Chorley), 1700 (Grimsby) and 1100 (Luton) on that away terrace, so I know what 1100 on that terrace looks like. You had about the same as Luton brought, i.e around 1100, plus about a hundred in the West Stand. Sorry you were outdone by Chorley. :bdick:

Yeah, I remember doing a quick goals per minute calculation and declaring we were on track to stuff you "9-0 at this rate". :woo:

Doesn't need to be full, 3000 is normally enough to shift things up a few gears, but it depends on the team stepping up too, which they didn't do yesterday. This is probably the best video of the Promotion Final last year. Filmed from the Chorley end, there's a 4 minute spell starting at about 3.25 that gives you a flavour of what it can be like when it gets going.

I was in the west stand and there was far more than a 100 in there. By the way is it a regular hing at the Shay to thank their sponsors by turning the sprinkers on them LOL

I'll try and get a definite figure but would have said 250 or so Sutton fans at Fleet.

1) No there wasn't.
2) Only if we can guess they're the sort who'll try bigging up their numbers after the game. :bdick:

There were actually. I counted about 250-300, but the total of 1,200 looked spot on to me.

152 Torquay at ours.

....and that'll be about the same number at Plainmoor on Tuesday as Torquay set to record their lowest ever attendance for a NL match; and if Gravesend & Northfleet have nothing to play for on Saturday, expect that record to be broken.

Even if we lose tomorrow, we will still have a chance last day, albeit a very slim one.

Expecting a respectable turnout down there. Already two coaches full up, plus a third one taking bookings and plenty driving down for the weekend.
