Oh I agree, but it's about who gets there first. I don't envisage there's that many season ticket holders, or even members, so the rest will be a free for all.

Just an interesting spot from League Two, where Carlisle have officially restricted their capacity to 9,999 so they don’t have to ask for vaccine passes. Which presumably confirms that it’s based on the capacity of the venue rather than the actual crowd.

That would give the handful of clubs (Notts, Wrexham, Chesterfield, Southend, Stockport and Halifax I think?) with a capacity over 10k a decision to make. Particularly us with a game against Wrexham coming up that would probably exceed that number.

I’m guessing that it can’t be done on a game by game basis and you have to agree the procedures with the safety advisory people, so presumably we’ve got to decide whether to cut Wrexham’s allocation and take the hit on the crowd that day (and potentially Ches/Grimsby/Others later in the season) or bring in mandatory passes for all of our games until things change.

Well, we’ve just sold out our allocation for Spennymoor away on Boxing Day.

We was only given a pathetic 600 tickets mind, but they’ve all been sold now.

At the risk of getting all COVID-centric though, rolling this out now is just another thing the government are getting wrong. The COVID passes are for people who have been double jabbed, but the general consensus is that being double jabbed doesn't really protect against Omicron. Therefore surely the current COVID pass system needs to be made obsolete or updated to account for boosters.

My main issue is that I’ve spent years perfecting my walk from the pub to my seat and now have it perfectly coordinated to arrive at 2:59. Extra admin at the turnstiles is going to throw my plans into chaos.

I think we might consider it. Our capacity is only 10500 so the extra cost in staff to check passes, stewarding etc for the sake of max 500 people wouldnt make it very cost efficient

Cyprus updated theirs this week that a Covid pass is now only valid if you have had a booster within 7 months of the second jab.

Anyone else needs a negative test to be valid even double jabbed people.

Cyprus have been a lot more strict though and wouldn't surprise me if this carries for another couple months the UK will also insist on a booster.

They don't bother me either, we have had to show a Covid pass for all shops and restaurants with more then 10 people including staff for months, nevermind places with 10k people. Biggest issue is because UK only one jab under 18s and the EU double jab my kids have been classed as unvaccinated so had to get tested twice a week just to have a safepass which is annoying!

Tbf I think our current capacity is already restricted due to the 'Covid safe' zone where we have reduced capacity and the segregation between that area in the East Stand and everyone else. I 'believe' based on back of a fag packet maths - this zone and the segregation takes us to under 10,000 capacity as it is.

All the club need to do is announce the new 'capacity' for this season that has been in place for a while.

The club, in their eternal wisdom, decided to put our Alty tickets on sale at 10am on a weekday and they've unsurprisingly sold out rapidly. Since there was no warning, lots of fans only heard about it after working hours and are understandably a bit miffed. The only reason I got mine in time this morning was multiple mates messaging me about it

I think the 10k covid pass rule is already in force in Wales....We were 'sold out' for the Torquay game with a crowd of 9813 (Convenient ey?).

I am intending on going to County away but a lot is likely to change between now and then.
