I love the bloke, if he left now I'd have nothing but respect for him.
Never liked the fella from his time at Oxford but he's gone up in my estimation after watching that interview.

He's a quality league 2 manager. Just look at how we are doing, all the staff bar the players haven't been paid for weeks.

And i liked the way he let it be known about people not being paid and not just the players but other employees as well.Hope people listen to Wilder for your sakes and get the deal done sooner rather than later. Good luck!

What are the chances, do you think? From a purely selfish position, obviously.

Northampton's fans were great today and their team were clearly playing for them, deserve better than is going on behind the scenes.

If kelvin takes over then he will stay 100%. If jed takes over i expect him to walk, understandably so. All down to what DC does sadly.

He's a chippy knob. That blustering interview was just because he wants his mate to take over.

Looking at the Northampton forum a few months ago, most of you wanted shot of him!

I hope stays as then you can look forward to the usual post January blow up.

No they didn't. About 3 people did. 95% have always been behind him. Oh and we were much better after January last season, so just go away you melt

Or because he hasn't been paid in 7 weeks as the majority of people at the club havnt. As soon as Kemar roofe gets sold you will obviously drop. I don't bother with the hotel end either, bunch of trolls just arguing on there.

We could be liquidated next week, he's right to be pissed off.

3 people my arse!
Big difference though is that you weren't near the top after January last season.

We need to keep hold of Sercombe, Baldock, Hylton, O'Dowda and Lundstram too. Good thing is, the owner doesn't appear to be a selling one this season.

So we have gone from a few months, to January now. :bang:

Yes, back end of last year - we were on a rubbish run and Wilder was in a bad place - some of it was from a very bad run of injuries and some of it was self inflicted. He redeemed himself in January by addressing the issues and we have continued our good form. Wilder deserved that chance as he has salvaged our league status after Boothroyd destroyed his good work.

I have nothing respect for him - if god forbid I was at war in a trench, it would be alongside Wilder.

No team in this division will turn down a decent offer for a player it makes no financial sense.

How is Sercs getting on?? We obviously love him at City because he's one of our own but man can he be incredibly frustrating sometimes...

So much appreciation for the guy who took you out of the abyss of non-league  glad I'm not jaded enough to wish for the worst for people who did good things for my club.

He did one good thing...........and a lot of bad.

As I've said before, you're welcome to him. Let's see what you think in a year or so time, if he's still with you? We had five years of him, and it was about three years too many.

Yeah, fine, but it's over now isn't it? It's not like he sent you back down to non league, or shagged all your wives, or wiped his arse on the Oxford badge, he just underachieved for a couple of seasons and then left. The lingering resentment some of you seem to have towards Wilder and the possibility that we might actually like him is just really weird, lots of time has passed and you're doing well now with a manager you're happy with, and so are we, move on.

Like many things, there's much more to it than that.

He disrespected fans on several occasions and was very dismissive of the club's history. He was also very devious before leaving us, and was touting himself around for any job going. He was not well liked within the club and was something of a bully, so he did a lot more than just under achieve.

But like you say, I'm more than happy with how things have gone since he went.

After the first few matches where he was ok, but nothing more, he has been outstanding and our most influential player.

I think he now has 9 goals for us, and is unlucky not to have more and, from what I've read, he seems to have a lot more freedom to get forward than he did when at yours - having Lundstram as a very good holding midfielder alongside him has allowed that. He seems to have bags of energy and is non-stop all game.

I think he would be more of a miss than Roofe if he were to go. So, thanks very much!

Sky Sports reporting it too now. Probably doesn't mean much, but it seems we are getting closer to our nightmare ending. Let's hope DC doesn't shit all over it again, like he did on Friday.

I do wonder if this is a stalling tactic because of the peaceful planned protest later. Hope I'm wrong.

So what happens now then? I wouldn't be naïve to think, if this was my club, that the club is now safe. He's just spent £1 to take on a £10.4m debt.

I very much doubt he'll be wanting to pay most of that back out of his own pocket.

I think it's 13.4m if you talk Mr Sabin, right Eric?

The most important issue is HMRC. Pay them off and you can string civil cases along for years. The council won't put them in Admin, so the issue comes down to the contractors on the stand development.
