Shame the other ex imps Green, Whitehouse and to a lesser extent Waterfall are poor!
Depends how you're using Green. If you're playing it up to him at head height he'll be no good but he was good at running the channels. What's he now, 33?, so his best days are behind him. Even though he went a long time without scoring here, we had everyone else chipping in so we were still picking up results. If you're relying on him for most of your goals then it'll not happen.

Whitehouse was pretty limited, even before his ACL injury. If you play him in a three and just ask him to rat around get challenges in he's fine but he'll be exposed if he's needed to be creative and pick passes out or in a two-man midfield. A solid pro, though. I think fans are generally more forgiving of players who aren't quite at the standard needed but give 100% and are really professional.

Waterfall generally mirrors his CB partner. He was poor here in 2015/16 alongside Nat Brown but excellent with Raggett in 2016/17 and then Wharton in the second half of 2017/18. That said, he was also surrounded by good defensive players at RB (Wood and then Eardley) and CM (Woodyard) who never exposed his lack of pace.

Would have expected Waterfall to be the best of the three for you. He's at the right age and a good L2 head and kick it type of defender.

Watched every game this season and for me Green is our worst signing, no pace, doesn't win headers, doesn't hold the ball up, gives it away far too often and not scoring goals, generally don't know what he does. Think he's been signed 3 or 4 years too late, maybe it's our system who knows.

We play 4-3-3, so Whitehouse is part of a three man midfield but offers little, I know he's come back from being out for a full season so will give benefit of doubt but Cook, Robson and Hessenthaler are all ahead of him in central midfield for me.

Waterfall isn't bad, but I believe we started conceding soft goals from crosses when he came into the side, I don't remember conceding silly goals when it was Ohman and Davies at the start of the season, coincidence?
