Thrilling couple of days for Mickleover Sports season ticket holders, there.

Was sad when Scarborough went bust, of course, but they always were a bunch of twats with massive chips* on their shoulders.

South Shields have signed midfielder Nathan Lowe from National League North side Southport. Lowe, 22, has also played at step two for FC United and Spennymoor Town.

Big game for Staly today away at a poor Lancaster. Type of game to show how season will go. Currently great at home, but terrible away is these games needed to improve away form to push top half, otherwise will be a bottom half struggle

Unfortunately BigDave bumped into Lancaster on a night where they won their first match at home this season, and are beginning to get their act together, last 5 games they've picked up 10 points.

Matlock putting 7 past Grantham, wow.

I see James Walshaw is still scoring, oh he was good that season with Alty

It’s not a good enough result and Staly are in trouble if they don’t sort this away form.

Watched Curzon do same last season play well at home but only narrowly survive with a game left because of a terribly away form.

Issue is they don’t grab draws, just lose each time, either score but leak goals easily or are tight but fail to score and lose by a goal.

Bottom 5 bound in my view on current set up, only higher currently as played 2-3 more home than away games

Matlocks new manager has signed a lot of local lads, a couple of whom I know, plus a couple of very good players for that level and they look to have sorted their shit out somewhat. Westcarr should be ridiculous at that level. Hopefully see them continue to climb up the table.

Matlock also missed a penalty and some other excellent chances.

He seems to know where the net is as does James Walshaw, he signed for us in 2011 after banging in 32 goals for Guiseley in the Conference North, unfortunately didn't happen for us.

Yep, scored a hatful for us in Conference North, despite being left out for a number of games.

Probably the best striker I've seen at Alty, better than Damian Reeves IMO.

Connor Simpson has had a very good start at Hyde, impressive for an 18yr old, i'm sure this league isn't short of physicality.

He opened the scoring against Bamber Bridge in Hyde's 3-0 win on Saturday in the FA Trophy.
Having previously netted in his last two matches against Stafford Rangers & South Shields. He's certainly got talent it's a tough league.

5 in 9 starts for Simpson now, we'll be calling him back at this rate, more likely than us coughing up cash for someone.

Very strange connections they've also had a trialist from the Netherlands. Boula and Prusa made their debuts on Saturday against South Shields.

They must do scouting on the continent?
