Notts 1-1 Mansfield. Biggest Nottingham derby in years

To avoid upsetting the promotion thread further as it seems next weekends game is spilling into it quite a lot. I thought to get this thread up and running early.

Quite a big game we have on our hands here, Notts regaining a little form whilst Mansfield have dropped off under their new manager. But its a local derby and as always could be any score.
There is a lot a stake as it will mean a 6 point gap from Mansfield with them having a game in hand. A defeat of 3 goals or more would take the Stags above Notts on goal difference and set them up nicely.
A defeat for either wouldn't be the end of the world but it will certainly make any chance of the top 3 very much more difficult.
For once I think Notts WILL be up for it this time!

I'll go as far as to say the loser won't go up automatically, I think it's that big a game for both teams.
Six pointers are perhaps an over used cliche but this really is one. It really is going to be one of those utter despair or utter joy moments at full time on Saturday. Maybe it's just me but it feels like a season defining game.

It's not gonna be terminal though. Will still be 8 games to go. All of them look must win, but this weekend was a good example of twists and turns.

We have been written off so many times this season. If we lose Saturday people will continue saying it, but if we win, we still won't be seen as favourites. Funny old game...

We are fickle. In all seriousness we usually bring between 3500/3800 I think? Only once have I known us top 4k. No excuses for not taking more than what we did last season mind considering how important this game is.

We have dropped off in form, It started in Evans last game but to be fair we still have avoided defeat despite playing poorly.

I’m not confident at all, County have not beaten Mansfield in what feels like a lifetime and runs like this always come to a end.

Best place to park to get good getaway after the game? Not decided if I’m driving or catching the train yet.

Hardy will be thankful for the gate considering the 1.6m gap in funding.

£1.6m gap in funding you say? That’s interesting that’s pretty much the figure he is spending on extending the hotel at his very profitable Golf and Wedding Complex at Cotgrave. Hmmmmm.

All funds from the away end greatly received as always , the target for MTFCs ‘Big Day Out’ is 3888, that would be one more person than home fans that attended Saturday’s Colchester game.

It will indeed. Having missed the Crewe game and huge L2 crowd, I’m looking forward to a nice healthy five figure crowd at the Lane. With a fair wind could be the 2nd highest home attendance of the season. More likely 3rd
