Stead won't score 10 this season. Not alone 50. McLeod is the striker Ricardo has been chasing all season and he is the man that will fire in the goals. He scored 22 in a shit team with no supply in a division above last year. He will be amongst the goals no doubt With the chances in abundance that we create.

Supposedly just over 700 tickets have been sold by Luton fans so far, with more being received this week. I'm hoping to get a ticket - very easy to get to from Luton by road or rail (just 90 minutes from Luton). I think the £24 ticket price may have put a few off, but I still expect us to sell over 1000 for this one.
In fact we've sold nearly 1500 up to yesterday, with it being pay on the day too. Piss easy to get to too - only 90 minutes on the train and a 10 minute walk.

I'd go with this team for today:

GK Mark Tyler
RB Stephen O'Donnell
LB Scott Griffiths
CB Luke Wilkinson
CB Scott Cuthbert
CM Olly Lee
CM Jonathan Smith
AM Luke Guttridge
RW Danny Green
LW Josh McQuoid
CF Craig Mackail-Smith

Subs: Elliott Justham, Steve McNulty, Pelly Ruddock, Alex Lawless, Cameron McGeehan, Ryan Hall, Paddy McCourt.

The state of this referee. Goal disallowed for nothing, that McLeod 'dive' too. Christ.

Luton are terrible, so they'll win.

This ref is an absolute farce. Should have this won really, but we are fun to watch.

Tough luck Hatters. Thought you lot were going to get a win after coming from 2 nil down to draw level. But otoh, well done to Notts who got the win after they were pegged back. Must have been an entertaining match.

Deserved win. Weird game. Luton were atrocious.

Yeah, they scored out of nowhere and we absolutely shit ourselves. They had chances to make it 3-2 after that, though, it became ridiculously open.

We hit the inside of the post, had two very good penalty decisions waved away and had two goals disallowed, as well as missing plenty of other chances. For three quarters of the game there was only one team in it.

Cheers. That's a better explanation

Another defeat for LOLton, Blimy.

Hopefully we can get something there next week. County seem to be clicking into gear

I'm still really concerned we can't seem to hold a lead, but aside from that it was a decent performance against what should be a good Luton side.

You reckon a bookies would give odds on us not being in a 0-0 for the rest of the season?

We aren't even trying to defend, it's great. To be fair we create more chances than the opposition every week now, so with McLeod we should be set.

Both Luton goals came from us having no midfield than defensive errors. 2nd goal was finished well too tbf, you could just credit Luton for taking basically the only 2 chances they had tbf, they were calm in front of goal.

I'll credit them for 'playing football' etc... It was the sort of game that is only brilliant if both teams are going for the win and committing players forward for 90 minutes. We were just better than Luton at it - mainly because of McLeod. Their defence was poor and couldn't deal with anything once forced to turn.

Still room for improvement - felt like Campbell and Stead were both completely useless and ineffective as attacking outlets for 99% of the match and the game is likely over if Thompson or Noble come on at 2-0.

Referee was genuinely fucking appalling too. The sort of game where you can't even throw out cliches about his job being tough. That was the 4th or 5th league game he's officiated and he looked totally out of his depth for 90 minutes.

Campbell is alright, his pace opened up loads of space for McLeod. Stead though, yeah. Need to work out to use him because he kills so many promising moves by being sloooow.

We thoroughly deserved our win and it should have been game over at 2-0. He should have introduced noble for stead at 2-0 up and steadied the ship. He didn't and we conceded two goals as a result of that. Justice was served though as Luton were never worth two goals. We will get better and McLeod is a real gem of a signing. Get your money on Notts. it won't be long until we are in the top three

I think Noble for Stead would be our best, most balanced side. Harsh on Skirtz though.

Noble has to play. Stead is the one of the attackers who deserves to be dropped, but I think Campbell is more likely with Burke switching out wide.

Agreed. Burke's been superb in the middle but I'd argue he's good enough to affect games regardless of where he plays. I'd happily put him on the left and bring Noble in for Stead. I don't think Campbell's a bad player but you can't have an attacking player as bad at shooting as him, especially when Burke would certainly score more in that advanced position and Noble would score goals from deep to lessen the burden on McLeod.

Luton started off well enough and then gradually faded badly in the first half. That said I don't think we deserved to go in losing.

Second half we started off atrociously. We never seem to have fast restarts; seems to have become a bit of a trend. We were progressively getting worse and after the second goal, Notts had it easy. Passing it around with consummate ease and under no real pressure. Nothing was happening for us and frankly we looked inept.

Couple of changes made; not that I think it made a difference but suddenly something clicked. I think Roy Carroll will be disappointed being beaten at his near post by McGeehan, but there was nothing he could do about the second. Suddenly were back to 2-2 out of nothing. Almost totally undeserved.

The way the referee was handing out bookings in the first half I was amazed that Notts didn't end the game with 10 men or less. I thought that we would bring Pelly Ruddock on to force another yellow out of one of the defenders.

Then the red card, which I think McLeod, who was a menace all day, cleverly manufactured. I don't think there was much difference between the dive and the foul. And then Liam Noble does that in the 93rd minute. You can't compensate for that really. Probably a 50/1 shot and he puts it in the top corner. That's football - we're not really getting many breaks at the moment.

£60 well spent today. :brill:

A little concerned at the lack of concern from the boss who thinks things are OK when all around seem to see it different
