Actually he has, and has said so in interviews. Unfortunately he is not playing him in it enough. When McGeehan was suspended by N Ireland, Guttridge played just behind the forwards, and did well. So Still kept him in yesterday and he was poor, so McGeehan should be nailed on to start next week. One problem is that McGeehan, Guttridge and McCourt all prefer playing in the hole behind the forwards, meaning that either only one can play, or at least one plays out of position.

It's no surprise to see Mcourt on the bench for a league two team. His attitude towards football and teamwork stinks and deserves to rot in the reserves. I have absolutely no doubt that Luton will release him at the end of the season.

He has undoubted talent which is the main reason I detest him so much, as people in our position would kill to be in his

after 7 league games we have managed ,in time added on, to give away a total of 5 points from the 90 minute onwards!!
do we have kevin keegan in charge of our defensive duties/training!! beggars belief!!

McLoed has really added an edge over the last two games. May his scoring continue.

Stallard said that with McLoed we no longer need to try and dominate games, I think Notts could well be a counter attacking side for some time...

Took his goals well. For what it's worth I think County will be alright once they gel. Certainly better than where they are at the minute.

If not top three at end of the season, then definitely the top 7. We have the best attacking options in the division with now McLeod, arguably the golden boot favourite, now leading the line. He has already proved his quality.

We will be the team that scores an absolute bucket full of goals but still have a pants GD because of our inability to defend

That's what could be the difference between you finishing top 7 or outside of the Play offs. Can't really base what we saw of you on much as it was still early days and most of your players couldn't even speak the same language that night. I'm sure come May both Notts and Luton will be up the other end of the table.

Since playing Mansfield our back 4 and front 3 are completely different - which isn't really a good thing as it shows you how unprepared we were only a month ago. Having so many players injured and not fit enough to play was a nice excuse (Swerts and Amevor were suspended too) but you could argue it was poor we let it happen in the first place.

McLeod's made the difference. We played Stevenage and Wigan off the park the two opening games and it was clear against Mansfield that they'd simply had a scout at both games and seen that with Jenner and Stead in a front 3 we had no pace, which meant they could push right up and stop the passing game with no threat in behind. You tried to do the exact same thing in the JPT and Luton did on Saturday and when you did we simply plopped it over the top instead where we've now got an abundance of pace with Snijders, McLeod and Campbell.

I still think we're another month unfortunately from knowing what our best side is (with the likes of Hewitt and Milsom out and trying to work out the best defensive combination), let alone getting a settled side but hopefully the talent of the likes of McLeod, Burke, Snijders and Noble can still help us pick up points during that.

Shout out to Gill Swerts as well, thought he was going to be a Belgian Alan Smith who waltzed over, international caps in hand trying to pretend he shouldn't have retired long ago. He's been superb though, my player of the first month and a bit. Lovely bloke too.

Swerts is class, as I suppose he probably should be. Got a surprising turn of pace on him too, was one point on Saturday when CMS looked like he was clean through but Swerts did him for pace over ten yards.

Definitely agree that we're still a long way from knowing what we're doing, though. Not sure Audel at left back is a viable solution (as well as he played), whilst Hewitt probably comes in at right back when he's fit, leaving Amevor to fit in. No idea what we do with Milsom if he's ever fit, we've already got too many good central midfielders as it is.

There's signs that some of the foreigners are really starting to adapt to the pace of it too, with Snijders, Swerts and Aborah all being excellent in recent weeks.

Once we get the balance right we're going to be a nightmare to defend against, because if you sit off then Noble, Aborah and Burke can control a game but if you push up we have so much pace in behind. We should probably stop trying to play 4-2-4 on the road and have a go on the counter.

I think we will be more compact away from home, we will probably see Stead tuck into a more no.10 position

I'd like to see him tuck into a bench or reserve team position instead.

Scott Cuthbert's red card in this game was appealed by Luton Town and turned down. Apparently the disciplinary panel voted 2-1 against rescinding the punishment.

In my opinion, having watched it back it was the right decision by the referee. But the Luton staff were "embarrassed" about the decision.
