To me that looks like SUTSS not being able to convince people to execute Veggie Legs and trying to kill him as a result

Amazing work hodge.

Why on earth would the wolves try and go for Veggie? Surely it's obvious he'd be protected?

SUTSS for execution for me. His actions have been incredibly suspicious, and he's done nothing to convince me that he's not a wolf.

Agreed, thinking about it no point hanging around, more time to potentially hear from SUTSS

Agreed as well. He's had plenty of time to defend himself, and has repeatedly failed to do so.

SUTSS for execution.

Also, well done team.

I have been brought round from my previous thoughts. Still don't think Veggie Legs is telling us everything but I agree that the way SUTSS has been acting is strange.

SUTSS for execution.

Veggie Legs may or may not be hiding something, but having been targeted by the wolves surely he's #1 guy to trust? Interesting your phrasing about Veggie Legs though, its like you want to keep him in the frame.

Yeah, if there was any doubt at all that 100% confirms Veggie as someone we can trust!

I think it's time I explained my actions. I decided to use the dice for execution votes as a way of causing a bit of havoc. Getting some arguments going and getting some suspicion cast my way. It worked and the seer came to me. I knew Veggie Legs was innocent before I voted for him. The plan was for me to try and build up some steam in an anti-Veggie Legs movement so that we could see who was the most willing to follow and investigate them. This is still an ongoing process but I can tell you that so far we have discovered one innocent (who I was really thinking was a wolf). That's the truth of it. The Circle of Trust is alive and well and we have lost no one to the wolves.

Do we get told the bold part?

The seer could tell you himself but that would be pretty stupid as his identity would be revealed to the wolves.

So how do you know the seer looked into you?

Because the seer told me. We have a group of known innocents, including Veggie, who are planning things behind the scenes.

If Veggie Legs were part of this group of innocents wouldn't he have come out in support of you?

Simple situation as far as I see it, Veggie confirms SUTSS is part of a behind the scenes group of confirmed innocents (Veggie being as near confirmed as you can get and should be in said group if it exists) or Veggie doesn't confirm and SUTSS gets executed.

To be fair it would make sense for the seer, if they are still alive, to look into SUTSS as he has been acting suspiciously. But unless someone else in the CoT can vouch for SUTSS, we have no reason to believe his story.

But SUTSS claims the seer has already investigated him, if true the seer shouldn't reveal themselves and as such Veggie can be the only one to confirm that SUTSS is telling the truth as he's the one who has publicly survived a wolf attack. If Veggie isn't part of a group by now if it exists then something is wrong. So waiting for Veggie to confirm or deny imo.

That's exactly why it would be stupid for me to make this up because Veggie would just blow the story.

…or are we being led adrift by the dog? Are we just to take his word as gospel (that he was attacked - something which, as Rammy suggests, would be incredibly stupid on the wolves' part?)

I don't think SUTSS' story is outlandish at all.

Oaf said that Veggie Legs was attacked by the Wolves, so not made up by Veggie at all. Very weak argument against Veggie that. Or are you just trying to protect a fellow wolf maybe...?

It just seems a bizarre tactic for the wolves to attack the mayor, the person who is in the safest position of the lot. Had it paid off, it's a huge statement of intent, but it's incredibly unlikely to have happened, right?

I don't believe SUTSS is a wolf, here. It feels like the easy choice to make, in my book.

So you're saying Oaf, running the game made up that Veggie was attacked? Would be a bit of a dick move for someone running a game to make stuff up like that, so really it has to be accepted that Veggie was attacked and survived.

What exactly convinces you SUTSS isn't a wolf, exact examples of posts etc, because you've offered a very vague and soft defence atm.

Have I said that Oaf made it up?

It happened, and I can accept that, but it seems a bizarre way to go about things for the wolves. I just get the impression that SUTSS is actually in the COT with a handful of others, who may feel scared of revealing themselves. Which I can understand.

With three votes to his name already, however, it looks like we'll find out soon enough.

Perhaps the wolves wanted to kill the mayor to try and get one of their own elected? If said group exists, as I've said Veggie should be part of it and can be their mouthpiece, they have no reason to be afraid of revealing themselves. So comes back to finding out when Veggie comes online.
