Really hope you're right Tom. Can't help but think of Stockport whenever any former League club finds the going tough down in the conference
Agreed Vanni...... apart from having a soft spot for one of our own in PoolieTom, i reckon we both can have empathy on his team's plight.....we've both been there and suffered the indignity of a fall from grace .....but let's hope he keeps his pecker up!!
Come back soon. Been too long since we played out a 1-1 draw and screwed Port Vale. Thanks again for your concerns lads. We are in a tough spot, but even now I am not concerned about 'doing a York' or some such. We have a large squad, we have lots of similar players, and I think that will tell as the season goes on and some smaller squads start to struggle. We also have some very good players for this level.
Unfortunately, we have a couple of really bad players for this level. The standout being our centre half, who has so far been solely responsible for over half of our goals conceded. It's concerning that our manager is still persisting with him, but rumours of a couple of signings to come this week are certainly sounding positive.
You will both be playing us sooner rather than later. Hopefully!

no christoff.....no random games......he's confused....You're a Crawley fan, so you need to predict Crawley's games, not Coventry's.
Unless this is predict a random game week Oak?

not an issue with me Vanni....i think its cool that we get along regardless.....Don't get me wrong Tom as I hate to be a pedant, but I said Stockport not York Tom, as I'm not expecting you lot to have such a crappy season that will end up in another relegation a la York. I'm more worried that Pools are in for a mediocre season, like a lower mid table finish, then fail to push on the following year similar to what Stockport did. Plus, in terms of club size, I reckon are much closer to Stockport than York. I don't think your support (and Stockport's too) has ever dropped down to York levels, but I could be mistaken.
Then there's another thing - the respective squads 'on paper'. Can't say I was that surprised when York were relegated in successive years, but Stockport going down came as a bit of a shock as I thought they had enough quality 'on paper' to see them home safely. Same goes for your squad, as it looks decent enough to mount a play off challenge at the very least, but as we all know 'good enough on paper' basically means f.a.
But to be quite clear, I'm not expecting Pools to go down or anything this season. It's just that I fear for you lot should things not turn out as planned and then the club seemingly stagnates like Stockport did.
PS - Sorry Oakey for derailing the thread but I prefer discussing Pools stuff on here than on the NL forum.

I think i'd take that with our comedy defence who have let in 8 in 3 League games.Grimsby v Wycombe --- boring 0-0 snooze fest please.
I would just settle for keeping 11 men on the pitch, 4 games so far and a red card in each one for us.I think i'd take that with our comedy defence who have let in 8 in 3 League games.
