OK. But your "Is it me?" post (#755) after it just puzzles me. So I asked.
Do you find it strange that someone from Germany has an interest in english football history and likes (and supports) more than one team but all of them (minus defunct Accrington F.C) who formed the first professional football league in 1888?

We just need to educate all those people who think teams like Hereford, Aldershot, Chester, Halifax and Glasgow Rangers are the same club as they were before they went bust and into liquidation.

Still, having said that, I don't like to see certain colourful language on the footy forums*. Personally, I have no trouble at all with such language, but I do appreciate that some potential new forum members might be put off and think twice before signing up. My reasoning is only because I'm assuming that newcomers would check out the footy threads first before heading over to the other sections.

*esp. on the matchday threads, new/rumoured signings, away followings etc, which most likely will be the visitor's first port of call.

Tbh: I found the shoutbox and the politics board first . But I don't decide on first impressions I always take a second look (or give a second chance) and I am member in some other boards (German and English ones) and all I can say that here it is a civilized place compared to some of these boards. I am not one who is "intimidated" by strong words. And I can take my fair share of mocking and have a lot of humour, too, although it is often said that we have no humour (ah, and I like the typical british (black) humour)

I left the shoutbox because of this creepy poster called Dave who repeatedly used the c word and he made vile threats towards me through a vocaroo recording and he even put up a false link which led anyone who clicked on it to a gay porn site.

He has not been banned or even had any sort of punishment for this as far as I'm aware.

How do you HSV fans see St Pauli? Is there a big rivalry thing going on or not? I'm only asking because someone once told me there was no rivalry* as such between the two sides.

*bitter rivalry as in say Liverpool/Man U, Celtic/Rangers, Real/Barca and, erm, Luton/Watford.

Nope, think this might be where the confusion arose the other day with you supporting Notts County rather than Wolves!

Yes I chose Notts County here because this is the League 2 section and Notts is a League 2 club and one of the 12 founder members (11 still exist) of the Original Football league from 1888 (in League 1 I would have chosen Bolton Wanderers. In the Championship Wolves (from 5 available clubs) and in the PL it would be Burnley (from 4 available)

just a recap....this is a predicta for ALL supporters ....it started off as a league 2 thing but expanded when Aber gas from league 1 showed interest and joined in ...no one outside league 2 seemed interested last year.
all are welcome....it will be a supporter not a team that will win at the end of the season.
it will be a long slog and i'm sure many will drop out for one reason or another,but its good friendly banter .....
