I'm not sure he was totally awful, at least not at the start of his tenure. By the end though I would gladly have paid for a one-way ticket to anywhere for him

He seemed a decent manager when everything was going well, he got us playing decent football initially and we set off like an absolute rocket at the start of his first full season, top of the table heading into Christmas. However, when injuries and loss of form kicked in, he had absolutely no "plan B" and then it was a dreadful and rapid downward spiral to shambolic performances and clueless tactics. His training methods apparently were very lax and the squad was hugely unfit and flagging by the end of matches.

Off the pitch he bizarrely claimed publicly (and on a frequent basis) that we were overachieving, a point I could accept when top of the table, not when we were bumping along in 17th.

He needs to take a look at himself and ask why he's failed spectacularly twice in succession.

We were playing very well under the 'gang of four' when he took over, I pretty much put our decent form down to them rather than JED when he took over. When he started building his own squad that's when we really started being in the shit.
