Who else likes a pie at football? And how would you rate them out of ten?

My experience of pies so far in pre season and this season have been quite disappointing.

Swindon - 3/10 Chicken Balti £3.40 overcooked and stale, disappointed as last time I went they were nice.
York City - 7/10 Meat and Potato £3.10 wasn't too bad and has been the best so far.
Burnley - 1/10 Potato and meat £2.50 absolutely the worst pie that I've ever had at a football ground.
St Mirren - 6/10 Scotch pie served with beans it wasn't too bad although I would have preferred mushy peas, can't remember the price.
Bradford City - Changed to Pukka pies and presume they are still £3.20, our pies seem to get worse every season. Will let you know on Saturday.

Pies!? You dirty Northern 1950's stereotype.

Down here you can get such delights as paella, noodles, pizza, pasta, sandwiches (probably prawn), homemade burgers or visit the sweet shop.

You can stick a chicken balti pie where the sun doesn't shine.

We were trialling cheese oatcakes in our game on Tuesday against Burnley. Good stuff.

Folded or rolled? How were they?

I always go for a meat and potato pie, we've had Wright's (best), Holland's and Pukka (worst) over the years.

Rarely have them as they are usually overpriced.

Had one or two decent ones at the Ricoh in the past. Since the Wasps have come in, we serve cod and chips, pulled pork, pizza and so on.

Rolled. They were Wright's ones so pre-packaged. £3 for two. Smurf ain't daft. Pick them up from Wright's for a smaller amount and then sell them at a premium knowing supporters will snap them up. Had a bit of my mates and it was decent tbf. He certainly couldn't complain about the amount of cheese he got as it was all over the cardboard sleeve, plastic wrapper and the back and sides of his oatcakes.

Nearly all footballing pies are shit. In fact, pies are shit in general. Povrat food, like crisps and sausage rolls.

They used to sell (ludicrously expensive) oatcakes in the away end (and presumably the home end too) at the Vale. I didn't realise they'd stopped.

I've been going for 19 years and I've never known us to sell them?

Our pies are shit and can't comment on Barnsley as they sold out before kick off.

Fucking paella..

Quite like a pie at the footy but i'm usually too battered to remember how nice they are or what the cost what. Ours are hit and miss though at home, used to be decent but Chicken Balti or a Meat and Potato always goes down pretty sound
