I'd never accuse Beelo of that. He's no Salts. However the second top scorer with 18 to Agueros 21 goals and 2nd most assists with 17 to KDB's 18, shows he's more than just a decent player in a great team. He's one of the best players in that side.

His numbers are very impressive this season indeed, but he's playing in a system with basically five forwards (of which he's one) where he'll never get the attention he'll get for England, and rightly so because he still squanders a lot of opportunities. If you want any of the City front five through on goal it's Sterling, whatever the numbers say.

Now I don't ever watch England so I can't comment on how Kane has performed, but bar the blueberry nations, when has Sterling?

I will concede that his numbers certainly indicate that I underrate him, but I just find him largely underwhelming whenever there is pressure put on his shoulders. Which, I believe, is why he was benched at Anfield in the CL and was absolutely dogshit in the second leg.

Chelsea have announced that their new stadium project has been put on hold due to the "current unfavourable investment climate".

A club statement released on Thursday afternoon read: "Chelsea Football Club announces today that it has put its new stadium project on hold. No further pre-construction design and planning work will occur.

"The club does not have a time frame set for reconsideration of its decision.

"The decision was made due to the current unfavourable investment climate."
