Having watched Walsall at our place (4-0 win), this is a very unsurprising score line

Is playing away first in the play offs seen as an advantage still? I don't think it is at all.

Oh, and Barnsley need to stop singing Sam Winnall's on fire, get some originality.
Several teams including us were singing that before Wigan. Stevenage started it I believe for Freeman when he was still there.

Yeah, we carried it on when he came here. Someone brought up a Tweet the other day where they'd put 'Freeman's on fire, your defence is terrified' and the date was 2012.

Spineless bottlers. Just like Bradford, when the pressure is on they can't take it and put in shockingly shit performances like that.

Those of our squad leaving us for the Championship are going to be in for a shock next season. Sawyers in particular.

Well done to Barnsley, hope you win it, even if you are loanee fc.

Delighted, would have been happy taking a one goal lead to Walsall, nevermind three.

Sawyers looked awful for Walsall, I take it he is a much better player than he showed today?

From what I've seen of him in the past, he's very hit and miss like JET was for us. On his day he's unplayable, but if things don't fall for him he goes missing and gets labelled lazy.

There's definitely a player in there, even despite his poor performance he still carved out a chance for Mantom which should have been converted.

I'm not convinced Sawyers would cut it in the Championship from what I've seen of him, not just today. He's got undoubted quality but I'm not sure his end product is good enough, you get flashes of brilliance but his actual goal and assist count isn't that great.

And it's a big step up in level, particularly in that position, as Freeman's found for us this season. Defences are more organised, you get far less time on the ball - you've got to be that much quicker and clinical when you get the chances.

The ones that have made the step up in recent years, thinking the likes of Judge, Pritchard, Alli, they've all tended to have goals to their game. For that reason I'd much prefer Dack if given the choice of the two.

Hammill warming himself up for when he inevitably signs here in the summer...

If barnsley go up leaving them for you is not a step in the right direction it would just be leaving 1 club that will never make it to the premier league to another

Have to feel a bit for Walsall being so close to automatic promotion.

However fair play to Barnsley for their resurrection this season and looks like two trips to Wembley for them. If I was wearing a hat I would doth it to them. (And if I knew how to doth would be useful also!)

I was more speaking if they stay down, but why will we never make the Premier League? We've got the second richest owner in the league, we've got a new stadium with all the facilities capable of holding a Premier League club, we've got the fanbase potential and all the right setups...

I'm willing to have a bet with you that we make the Premier League sooner than you do.

Couldn't have gone much better that.

Two evenly matched sides in the first half trying to play football the right way, Walsall missed a couple of decent chances and we had a goal chalked off that on second viewing was about 3 yards onside, which was rectified when we had a bit of luck in our goal at the end of the half. Second half we blew Walsall away and fully deserved to be 3 up.

Won't be anywhere near as easy on Thursday and there's no reason why Walsall can't win 3-0 themselves, clearly a good side but just lost their heads in the second half yesterday. An early goal for them and it's all to play for.

As long as we keep our heads though, Wembley here we come (again!) :2thumb:

You are really overestimating our lot. Half of them look like they've already signed for a different club.

Useless. Didn't turn up. Huge long shot now.

Sawyers was utter shite, barely moved all game, head looked elsewhere

Lalkovic did a few stepovers and that's about it. Rarely beat a man or put a decent cross in

Bradshaw had fuck all as the overall attacking play was non existent

And the rest were all well below average too
