Shame they didn't let us sell tickets in the middle tier that year

Total ticket sales after Day 2 (up to 5pm) is 12,452 with a rough 3:1 ratio in favour of Bristol according to Conference twitter

Could try Air bnb if you're not fussed about it being a hotel?

Or staying on the other side of London? It's really accessible by tube so that could save money/increase availability.

For england games always get digs around Kings Cross area and then use the tube routes for decent pub crawls back up to Wembley, loads of b&b's around Kings X and St Pancras.

Cheers all, I will have a look after work at ones with decent tube links into the centre.
My wife has spotted some Wembley shopping arcade (?) that we can then park the car in Sunday morning after checking out whichever hotel we get, then a short walk to the Stadium all being well.

Appears we've sold out Category 1 seats and have now been given the top tier as well - so I think my predictions made before tickets went on sale will probably hold up, somewhere between 35-40k.

I imagine the Grimsby sales will shoot up a bit today too, should be an excellent crowd for the day!

We've revealed our new kit for next season and for some reason we'll be wearing it for the final.

We really need to learn from Grimsby in their marketing off the pitch. I've been impressed with it all season (promo vids etc) and Rovers are genuinely terrible at it.

We've sold out of this seasons home shirt. With the amount of day trippers, it would be a prime oppurtunity to sell them. Particularly if they had an embroidered Wembley 2015 Playoff final emblem. Instead, they've released the yellow away version that won't be wore for the game and won't be an away kit for next season. For £39.99.

Utterly tinpot.

Anyways, here's DC's response to the now infamous singing incident:

http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/BRISTO...ers-thoughts/story-26457440-detail/story.html

“I know there has been some reaction to it at the Grimsby end but I don’t think people should mistake us singing a few football songs after a game as us getting carried away in any way whatsoever,” Clarke said.

“Grimsby did a fair bit of celebrating themselves when their fans were on the pitch and their players in the changing room after the game, but I’m not reading anything into that.

“They, like us, deserve to enjoy those moments, but what the game between us will boil down is what happens on the pitch over 90 minutes at Wembley.

He added: “People get carried away in the moment and I’m no different. You do these things in the heat of the moment and when you have these times in football you should enjoy them.

“It was probably a bit of a surprise to some people to see me in there, but it was nice to mix with and share some of the enjoyment with our fans.

“We’re all going to Wembley at the end of a tough year and I think that is something you should be allowed to celebrate.

“You go through a lot of lows in football so when you experience a high there is a right time to enjoy it. We have done that over the last few days since Sunday, but now we are back at work and focused on the next project.”

Can't argue with him, you wouldn't be human if you didn't celebrate it.

That said if we won, we'll probably never let him live it down...

Got my ticket, about 15 of us going and staying over. Should be a brilliant weekend, but easily ruined by the result I'm sure. Unlike the past two trips to New Wembley that haven't been too important, this is huge.

Going to be one of the best Conference play-off finals for a long time, two clubs who should be higher up the football pyramid. I fancy Bristol Rovers to just edge it on the day, would be an incredible achievement to bounce back first time especially after their shaky start to the season.

I really like it.
I didn't realise you'd posted it in here too, I posted it in the kits one about 2 minutes after.

I was going to post it in that thread as well but noticed you already had done.

I didn't like it at first glance but it's grown on me. I think they all look really tacky at first purely because of the material they use. The design is okay though, unsure as to whether I'd like the collar to be fully red instead of just half though.

Probably the perfect response from DC there. Fair play to him, he is spot on too.

The squad is going to Wembley on Monday to get a feel of the place and the pitch etc. Are Grimsby doing the same or is it too far?

Park at the Hive. It makes sense.
I will be. I'm 70 miles from Wembley and being able to park at a site with decent food and beer only 5min walk and a couple of stops to Wembley seems a no brainer to me.

No idea what our prep is, however this was tweeted earlier by Radio Humberside

#gtfc shareholder & local lottery winner Lee Mullen is providing funding to give the team the best possible preparation for Wembley.

He's paid for the players' suits and the coach travel down to Wembley. I spoke to him in House of Fraser this afternoon while the players were getting suited up.

I'm also being sent to Wembley with work. Come on you Gas.

Be lucky to get 15k, nobody interested, prices too high and been recently. Not that it matters, as long as we win there could be just 6k there for me! We've took over 30k to Wembley before, never going to happen again. Think it was only 14k that went two years ago.

I need to buy 15 tickets but I'm waiting until the 2nd tier tickets go on sale. When I put in 15 tickets at the minute it's only offering me seats in 2 different lower tier blocks so hopefully they'll start selling 2nd tier tickets soon.

Shame really, I thought the importance of the occasion would bring a few along! Lack of sales for ST holders made sense given your home averages during the regular season, but I thought that quite a few hangers on would go.

Not sure where people are getting these figures from mind - all I've seen is 30k total.

EDIT: Just seen 6k for Grimsby on their website.

Gy fans always leave it late...

Very irritating that tickets not sold through GTFC though, and that I have to pay full price for my student son! Be disappointing if we don't equal the fan numbers for the tinpot trophy final which was 16k I believe.

I think it is just an obvious ploy from us, as we are better away from home, to make it feel like an away game by being outnumbered 4 to 1....... ;)

Except for alot of away games in this league our fans are not outnumbered 4 to 1, and certainly never sound like they are outnumbered at all...

Still over a week to go, I'll be disappointed if we don't break 30,000 though, thought initially we'd do that.
