So in Recent seasons Luton, Rotherham, Doncaster and maybe Lincoln have gone from non league to the championship in 5 seasons.
Yet supporters from those clubs are saying Bolton cannot go from Lge 2 to mid table in league 1
I thought the was some clueless fuckers in lge 2 but it seems lge 1 supporters are surpassing themselves

The difference being, we've all evolved our squads for the next division whereas yours in untried at this level.

Two others Afalayon and Thomason will be playing championship football or above with or without Bolton within 3 years

I didn’t expect Lincoln to do as well as they have since being promoted so I wouldn’t completely rule out Bolton doing something similar.
The only thing I will say is that Charlton have wealthy new owners who will be throwing a few bob at it.
The same applies to Ipswich. I expect them to spend big by league one standards.
Pompey, Sunderland and Wednesday are big clubs at this level and will undoubtedly be there or thereabouts again.
All in all I expect next season’s league one will be much tougher than this.

Congratulations to Blackpool. Probably the deserved winners in the end and good to see them get back to the Championship after their troubles of the past few years. Would have been great to see Lincoln make it to the second tier so soon after escaping non-league football, and hopefully they can keep a lot of that squad together and push on again next season.

Out of the team that got us into League 1 only one player was still with us when we got promoted to the Championship, being able to get promoted out of League 2 is all well and good but you need more to take the next step

Blackpool deserved over the 90 minutes, but still an incredible season. To compete as well as we have, given the circumstances has been a superb effort. But ultimately the three above us were a) better quality in their squads and b) had more finance available.

Everything feels very measured and planned at this end and this is just year one of that so we feel fairly well placed. You'd expect the likes of Portsmouth, Charlton, Ipswich etc to get their act together but I still think we'll be competitive albeit I don't think we'll be top two competitive again.

Only a 5 week turnaround I imagine so it'll soon be pre-season!
