This has been entirely predictable so far. Hopefully we'll turn up at some point.

Should null and void the playoffs if Exeter win them, it'll be a joke and unfair if they get promoted on the back of a curtailed season... :fish:

On a serious note. It looks likely the new season will start with crowds limited to 25% of their seated capacity. How on earth will clubs like Exeter, Bristol Rovers manage to afford to play when the majority of their capacity is standing terrace?

Can't argue with the outcome over the two legs. Thursday had 0-0 written all over it bar a free-kick and we were poor again today. Funnily enough I think if the game had carried on for another 10-15 minutes without extra time we would have nicked it, we were well on top at the end of the 90 minutes after scoring and I think the break came at the right time for Exeter.

Best defence in the league, formidable at home, home to a very one-dimensional side with only one way of playing, keeper who had the game of his life on Thursday...

This is an almighty bottlejob if it remains 3-0...

Fair play to Northampton, they’ve been brilliant, just haven’t given up... but Cheltenham have been awful. They clearly thought the tie was done and just had to turn up and piss about for 90 minutes. Totally deserved place at Wembley for Northampton. Pleased for Curle.

Well that’s quite the implosion from Cheltenham.

Look forward to the trip there next term

well if this doesn't turn round quickly at least the Cheltenham players will be glad there's no fans at the game.....

Ok - question... Why is Cheltenham's ground called the Jonny - Rocks Stadium?

Cheltenham were dire tonight and never got to grips with Northampton’s intensity from the start.

Morton was impressive, in February against us Legge and Brisley bullied him and he looked like a boy in a mans game but looked much improved tonight.

Feel for Cheltenham, deserved a better effort than that.

Presumably like how ours is called the one call stadium instead of field mill, sponsorship (though in fairness in our case the sponsor is also the owner)

In 2004 we (Mansfield) went to Northampton in the first leg of the playoffs and won 2-0. They stormed back at Field Mill and were 3-0 up before we got one back and took it to extra time and eventually won on penalties. Curle was our manager then.

Feel like tonight's result is less of a shock purely coz football has these weird storylines sometimes.

90: May curls one wide and time is running out for Cheltenham, who did not concede three goals in any of their 36 League Two games this season, seven added minutes to go #ctfc

What a time to do it...

Well that performance has made me feel at least a little better about our own. Blimey.

Don't know what to say about that. Bottlers the lot of them. Not lost by more than one goal all season? Not conceded more than twice in a game all season? Try doing it when it matters you useless fuckers.

What a time to do it...

To be fair one League two side did hit them for three this season... at Cheltenham and did it in 8 minutes!
