Good free kick, questionable goalkeeping though.

Pretty terrible game, felt like a pre-season friendly. I needed the half-time break to stop myself nodding off. Our only bright spell really was possibly the opening 5-10 minutes of the second half, but can't complain about the result.

Just need Exeter to fail to have a shot on target again Monday now and that will do. Hopefully Harriott will be fit and we can maybe hit them on the break when they have to push for it a bit more.

Northampton look pretty sharp so far. Nothing subtle about what they do but they do it effectively.

Cheltenham doing ok also. That throw in of Tozer could cause some havoc.

I shit myself every time that ball comes into our box. Carnage waiting to happen.

Really enjoyed that half overall. Played at a good tempo. Since their goal think Cheltenham have looked composed and deserve the lead. Northampton’s lack of a plan b was very evident as the half went on. Still with those set pieces they will always be dangerous.

Typical City pass it around all day and never have a shot at goal. FACKIN USELESS.

Cheltenham v Northampton proving to be a vastly, vastly, more exciting game than, err the other one. Cheltenham, especially, playing fantastically.

Great work from the Cheltenham keeper but can’t really be blowing those sort of chances like Oliver just had.

Need to get on the ball, one of these corners is ending up in our net any minute.

Looking ahead to next season would like to see us make an attempt to bring in Olayinka if possible. Looks a really good player and would fit our system perfectly.

Cheltenham having to tough it out now but overall dealing with the aerial bombardment well.

Much better game than the first - Cheltenham clear favourites to do the job based on the form of the four sides this evening.

Good game, by far the best since lockdown and I include the Premier League games in that so credit both teams. Cheltenham full value for the win though, played some good stuff when they had the ball and excellent when called upon to defend.

Hard to see how Northampton turn it around but stranger things have happened.

Calling it now - I don't want them to go up but it's going to be the Cobblers. Call it a hunch.

Looks like the reverse psychology worked then.

Cheltenham look a cut above the other 3 teams imo.

I'll be a little disappointed if we don't go up now based on what I've seen from the four teams today.

Cheltenham comfortably the best of the 4 on that showing. Northampton unfortunate to be playing them, as I thought they looked better than the other 2 (although I say that through gritted teeth because their football is not good to watch).

Thought Exeter were awful. Completely impotent. Them not playing a warm up game looks a strange decision. Was there a reason for that? At least they are in the tie though.

Cheltenham comfortably the best side out of the four.

Even accounting for the break, I thought the Colchester vs Exeter game was absolutely woeful. It wasn't even a pre-season friendly standard.

Northampton vs Cheltenham a far better game but that owed to latter really. There looked a sizeable gap in quality between the teams in that one - the first is more evenly matched.

Agree with everything said above. Cheltenham look the clear favourites for promotion having seen those games last night. Dealt with everything Northampton launched into their area with relative ease.

I feel a little bit more confident now. Still a massive 90 mins to go though.
A good start for Cheltenham...but the best bit is that the Holly Gazzard Trust has been a significant beneficiary from the result, thanks to the generosity of their fans (plus our Chairman).

Indeed £200 from him so far, let's hope it's a few hundred more by the end of the playoffs.

I've heard Northampton are already on their way to Cheltenham to prepare for their siege on Whaddon Road
