Vale host Oldham looking to win their forth game in a row and have not conceeded in five hours whilst Oldham come into the game in turmoil with no manager and on the back of a pasting at home to PNE.

Three points easily then? Probably not this is Vale after all!

A win could potentially have Vale in the top six if results go the right way for us and are expected to keep the same side that's performed so well in recent weeks. Byron Moore was superb against County and has been a revelation along with loanee Ryan Inniss.

Oldham have injury troubles I believe?

Il go with our clean sheet run to finally end but a 3-1 win to close in on 50 points and keep the play off dream alive.

no such thing as 3 easy points, Oldham have had reasonable season and probably didn,t deserve to get hammered 4-0 from reports i have seen. That said we have in general been decent at home so i,d expect us to take the game to them. At last two wingers and two up top and despite Willo been in barn door mode at the minute i,d stick with the same side.

I'm looking forward to this!

It's got to be an unchanged team again.

Can we keep a fourth clean sheet in a row? With how Robertson & Innis have created a partnership, it is very possible.

I also think Moore & Marshall have played a major part to the clean sheets, they're covering Veseli & Dickinson very well when required.

Not sure what reports these are? They were honestly the worst opposing side I've seen since we've been back in League One. Could have been 10 if we'd got out of 2nd gear. You'll win this easily.

Correct, Oldham's forum is full of posts saying they were and are gash.

Oldham is a great game for us to continue our rich vein of form. We have a kind run in really where we have the potential to make a real crack at 5th/6th place if we hold our nerve, the likes of Orient, Yeovil, Scunthorpe away.

Is there any chance of bad rain preventing this from going ahead?

Why the fuck I'm going, I'll never know. We never win at Vale Park, are in shit form, with no manager, and its gonna be wet.

Sod it - Vale 2-3 Latics (if its on....)

Not scored in our last 3 games to lower opposite bar Preston. Forte probably out injured, possibly same for Winchester. Elekobi out injured. Philliskirk needs dropping. Poleon all run with no reward.

Can only see a pasting here. 3-0 Vale.

Can any Vale fans tell me how easy it will be to get a taxi from near the ground back to Stoke on Trent station as it seems we need to get the 2228 train back to Manchester and there's no late trains from Longport?

There are usually taxis near KFC/The Crown although I'm not sure they'll be there on a Tues night

If you have to call, Sids is good

Bit of a fans fave.

All effort but, if we're being honest, a limited footballer.

Good enough for this level, however we have had better defenders during our time in League 1.

He's good for morale though - a proper heart on sleeve character.

Cheers

Yeah sounds about right, he'll give everything and has a big heart, but in all honesty he'd probably suit being a heavy weight boxer than a footballer. Still can't believe he was a regular LB for us in the Prem for 3 years mind.

I'd put this up there with one of our biggest games of the season to date. Lose or draw and we can expect nothing better than mid table, win and we can keep ourselves up there with as good a chance as a lot of sides. Still think we will fall short but it's nice have a bit of something shout about going into the final months of the season.

Tough games for Doncaster away at Preston, and Chesterfield at MK Dons so a win for us could put us level on points with 6th place.

Getting Ryan Innis in until the end of the season is a must, played 3 won 3 conceeded none with him at the back. Norman talking to Palace today so hope something can be sorted out.

why are Port Vale 7/4? they are in good form and we are in bad form, plus we have a few injuries. We never ever win there aswell so that seems very generous.

we've won 3 in a row and this is Port Vale so I wouldn't back us to keep winning!

I was speaking to my mate about this game last night and we both came to the agreement that we would have to take time off in order to get down the the game on time due to rush hour etc. Taking into account our current losing streak and vale's current winning streak, our injury problems and finally our record down at vale, we both agreed that we would be completely stupid if we were to waste any annual leave on doing this away.

Needless to say we are both completely stupid and I finish work in five minutes time and will be there tonight along with him. It could be a long night...

This has banana skin written all over it, 3 wins, 0 goals conceded v 3 losses no goals scored, poor record at VP against Vale in good home form, injury crisis, no manager. This is just the type of game Vale generally lose!

You sound like the typical Latics fan so I can understand where you're coming from!

Our abet will take a hit here as the following is shit.

But as I don't see Vale's following much, where the fuck are you after 3 wins, 3 clean sheets and on the verge of playoffs?

Not trying to be a dick. Just asking

Embarrasing and tired first half, has to get Dodds on and freshen it up. As bad as the Coventry horror show in December.

Problem we have with Oldhams timewasting and gamesmanship now likely to increase further we've probably only got 25 minutes of game time left to turn it around,

Even game, although Vale have had more ball.

Neither side look playoff material though.

Excellent free kick separates us.

Poor result but Oldhams diving, timewasting won through. We've got to be better than that though.

Fucking get in.

I won't deny the timewasting etc, but its about time we played, and won, dirty, instead of being a soft touch.

Oh, and I've finally seen us win at Vale.

We need a manager though. Didn't make the subs when we needed to.

Lockwood was superb and completely owned Pope.
