The season we were relegated,Motherwell signed three of the players.
They we’re virtually ever present for Motherwell, who qualified for Europe.
The standard of football up there must be utterly shyte.
It is thats why i refuse to watch it and get annoyed by the social media jizzfest every time Rangers play Celtic whats the big deal about it for english fans its utter garbage neither would win the championship let alone compete in the prem.

Could do with another winger and striker and possibly a back up right back. Other than that i think we are done.

With now having four centre-backs and interest in one more plus possibly a trialist in that position at the minute it looks like we're reverting to a back three so I would probably go:

GK- Magnus Norman

RCB- Aaron Hayden
CB- Rod McDonald
LCB- Morgan Feeney (Although we could do with another left-footed CB who is mobile, could end up being Armer)

RWB- George Tanner
LWB- Jack Armer

CM- Joe Riley
CM- Callum Guy
CM- Jon Mellish

AM- Zach Clough

ST- Tristan Abrahams

Definitely could do with two more strikers, all with different qualities. Midfield is stable and there plenty on the bench and around the squad to cover. Concrete Rod may be able to play the left side of the back three if he's at peak fitness. Another backup goalkeeper is needed. Plenty of very good free agents out there so no worries yet.

Can't see us going with a back three although the make-up of the squad does look like it's been planned around one. Just because managers have their preferred systems and can't see Chris Beech after a relatively successful first full season deciding to change his system.

They're a very strange bunch, it's their brand to snap up the bang average National League strikers, Kilmarnock actually paid us money for Nicke Kabamba, a striker with 5 goals to his name, we were all amazed.
And now hes back in England.

Zach Clough apparently alluded to a change of formation in his interview, I would say I'm 70% certain we'll go with a back three. We've lost three wingers that we had last season in Walker, Patrick and Kayode who played there a lot last season without replacing them. Makes me think we won't be playing a formation with wingers included.

Personally I think Brennan Dickenson will be in our starting line-up.

We'll if we do go for wingbacks there's the possibility of Armer dropping to Left centre back and Dickenson at LWB, I think I'm right in saying he's played there at previous clubs.

Perhaps another central
defender given either the age or fitness records of the current trio? Otherwise I agree.

Probably more like a 4-3-2-1 on reflection.
Murphy - Cogley, Clarke, Davies, McDonald - Spearing, Morris, Merrie - Watson, McManaman - Glatzel. Possibly Ryan Edwards at CB if we get him.

Local McDonald's and KFC have reported a drop in sales since the end of the season so I guess he's moved on.

He's refusing to train or play due to the lack of being paid and insurance etc. I think if Power doesn't pay them this week he is eligible to leave so imagine he'll be turning up at a different league 1/2 club soon.

Is he any good?

Fading. Knows where the goal is, right enough, but no legs left at all. He’d probably still do a job in L2, but also seems to pick up niggles regularly.

Yeah I'd agree with this. If you can play with a striker that can barely move but will score goals if given service then he's worth a punt. He scored 11 last season and we were frankly awful all season so....

He is very much ‘southern based’, though. The furthest north he’s been is Ipswich. Not sure if the choice of available southern clubs is that great - especially as he ain’t cheap.

Agree Edwards would be a very good signing for this level. Clarke and Knight-Percival are getting on a bit and Davies has suffered a lot on injuries so feel we need cover there.

The fact that Peter Clarke and Knight- Percival managed about 80 league games between them last season shows that age isn't that much of an issue.

Clarke had an amazing season just gone in terms of playing time, think there was mention of an operation over this break? NKP also had a good season fitness wise last time. Don’t think we can bank on similar injury-free spells this season though great if it happens.

A 36 year old picked up the Euro 2020 trophy last night and a 36 year old picked up the Europa Cup. Age is not and never has been an issue if players look after themselves. I would rather have an older player who knows what he is doing than some 20 year old with pace but no idea how to defend or composure. Peter Clarke has played over 900 games and i doubt he would have half as many if he didn't look after his fitness.Watch the behind the scenes video from saturday and you get a 30 second snapshot of why he is still around.

SC - x2 needed

Updated. Need 1 keeper, 1 centre half, left back (hopefully Angol signs on), 1 centre mid and 3 forwards. The likes of Ogle, Crawford just squad players for me.

7 more signings I reckon should be enough.

It's key that we got Ferguson and Sterry (2 years!!) secured and it gives us a massive boost for this season, still not sold on Killip, last season he was much improved but his first was diabolical, deserves a crack at league footy though, imagine we'll bring a kid in on loan as backup.

I dunno what's happening with Angol but this Ogle looks like an Angol signing to me, a versatile player that can play anywhere along the backline when needed, I think this could be a make or break season for Crawford, still only young but apparently has the ability I just don't think we've seen it yet, he really needs to kick on or he'll be out on his arse.

I think Ross Turnbull was key to improving Killip and also playing behind a solid back 3 gave him protection. I'd have liked Carson in as competition or bring on Killip's game but we missed out on that one (shock horror). He does deserve a crack at the FL but not a kid on loan. He needs genuine competition.

Suppose if we keep Donaldson then that's 5 who can play CM but the squad will be looking very national league. Not enamoured with the names linked. Latest one Jamie Stott at centre half who is a Stockport reserve. Really is that the best we can do?

That's a good point actually regarding a second keeper, some pressure on him would be a decent idea, Donaldson has just left in the last 10 minutes, I'd imagine he'll be off to Morpeth with Liam Noble.

This is gonna be such a weird season for us, we're scrambling for players, I feel like we need to just secure ourselves this season and then push next season for more established FL players.

Know nothing about Jamie Stott, saw him in pictures down the marina on the beers with Shelton and Killip.

Only one proper centre mid is on the books at the moment. I expect a couple to come in soon.

If Bahamboula goes, slot Dearnley in up top and Hope shifts to the right.
