We won away to FC Basel 1-2 this afternoon, Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Rafa Mir and Diogo Jota with the goals. A good run around for us against opposition 2 weeks ahead of us in pre season.

True and Curtis Jones looked excellent by all accounts, so positives and all. Klopp said the players were tired, too much running them into the ground in those training sessions I expect.

Beat Blackburn 2 -0 at Ewood tonight. First half was very meh, nothing much to speak of and not much intensity on show. Second half a different side came out, and we looked a lot sharper. Markovic - yes Markovic, gets the opening goal and he had a decent game in fairness. Sturridge got the other, though he had three great chances from lovely balls through to him from that wee beast Keita - what a player he is looking - and some more of the first teamers got a run-out.
