7 arrests, half 2? It started at 1pm.

Arrests downgraded to 5 by Lincs police as

2 x drunk and disorderly
1 x breaching an FBO
1 x Encroaching on playing area
1 x pyro (away end)

Not a single arrest for any public disorder (other than 2 drunks).

Great atmosphere, decent fans and good test- happy to have Wednesday next season as a pre season game.

We beat Brackley Town 5-1 tonight. Considering we normally start preseason fairly lethargic and always seem to lose at Brackley we played some excellent stuff. Hiram Boateng looks quality and Dean Lewington looks to be in the best shape as I can remember him being.

The U18’s that came on in the second half looked very good as well, hopefully a few of them can make the step up as our youth have struggled in that aspect a bit in recent years.

What's happening regarding the cancelled game vs brentford? Will you lose more points?

Just got back from Farsley Celtic where the game was called off about an hour before the kick off.

Paul Warne came into the bar and explained to the supporters that the pitch was not fit to play on and he had reluctantly decided that he had no other option than to call the game off.

He went round every table and thanked us all for supporting the team and shook all our hands.

It was very disappointing for all concerned, but at the end of the day. you can't risk players careers.

I had a look on the way out and TBF it was local parks standard at best.

Not too sure who picks up the tab but I hope RUFC will be helping Farsley out.
I live in Farsley so took some interest in this, annoyingly the exact thing happened to us (Bradford) there a few years ago for the same reason. If you’re interested the club have released a statement - https://www.farsleyceltic.com/news/club-statement-cancelled-match-2445064.html

Millers win 1 - 5 at Bradford PA with a hat-trick from Vassell and 1 each from new boys Ladapo and Barlaser.
At least we got a game tonight!

Lost 3-1 at home to Huddersfield, in a game which had the worst combined taste in kits that I've ever seen. The ref was sober and sensible in plain black, the other 22 were marred by Paddy Power sashes in the case of Udders, with the outfielder kit in particular being the design work of a four-year-old with her first crayons; Dale, meanwhile, played in a luminous violet 3rd choice kit, while their goalies wore what looked like an advert for a 1970s fake electric log fire in yellow, orange, brown and all shades in between.

For Dale, Henderson, McNulty (at right centre back!), Camps and new loanee Rhys Norrington-Davies looked good; Aaron Morley played 90 minutes in midfield and grew into the game; Brad Wade looked a competent keeper (although I hope he grows a couple of inches) and there were promising cameos from A Trialist, youngsters Matheson, Bradley and Tavares, Calvin Andrew (also at Right Centre Back) and first year trainee Louie Clarkson.

Don't know Huddersfield's players particularly well, but thought Alex Pritchard had a decent game, whilst Elias Kuchunga took his goals expertly (as did Hendo for Dale, of course.

1838 there, approximately half of whom seemed to be supporting each team.

Another friendly cancelled, Preston this time on Tuesday.

God only knows what’s going to happen to the club in the coming weeks.

We lost 2-0 to a full strength, and very physical, Stoke team.

We won 3-2 at Oldham; Done, Keohane and Henderson scoring. Jonny Smith was again a substitute...

Smashed Colchester 0-5 away from home... hat trick for Norwood and a brace for Jackson... positive signs.

Currently 1-1 at Notts County. Looks like Tristan Nydam may have broken his leg from a shocking tackle for a preseason game.

Always terrible when a player gets an injury like that, particularly in a meaningless game.
Rough stuff is something that seems to be creeping into friendly games lately, no need for it really.

Agreed. Especially as all our players seem to have brittle bones.

We are one or two injuries away from a crisis.

I know pre season isn’t based on results and it’s a good job given how ours has gone. A fairly strong XI which could well be what we start with opening day were swept aside fairly easily it seems.

TRANMERE 1-2 Livingston
TRANMERE 0-6 Liverpool
TRANMERE 0-2 Stoke
Carlisle 3-0 TRANMERE

We had a similar pre season last year with home defeats to Liverpool, Wigan, Rochdale & Fleetwood but we got promoted...

Have you been ringing wholesale changes during the game?

Our team sheets and number of subs has varied wildly this pre season. It really doesn't concern me about results as we've regularly featured 16-20 players in one game, and also rug changes in "45 minute" games, too.

Fitness is way more important IMO, especially for us giving how shocking our medical & fitness team have performed in recent seasons based on injuries.

Hope he is ok - guess there will still be some going OTT trying to make an impact for their new club ?

Millers drew 1 1 at home to WBA.
Semi returned home and gave us a 2nd minute penalty, which Ladapo dispatched.
West Brom drew level from a corner second half.

Confirmed to be a dislocated angle, grim.

6-12 weeks recovery for anyone who's not an athlete. To get back to League One fitness? Probably a lot longer.

From a fracture dislocated ankle. Depends if it needs surgery. You will be luck to see him for next 5 to 6 months.
