Announced we'll be playing Portimonense while we're out in Portugal, played them last year and lost 3-2 with mainly our development squad. Something a bit more exotic.

Still nothing from us, too busy 'negotiating' our friendly matches.

FC Twente will play City at the Gate the week before the league season kicks off.
Not bad.

looks like we are in Austria for pre-season, would love to go but feel it's too short notice plus i'm in Prague 3 days later

Oxford at home , I wonder if that was part of the Kemar Roofe deal?

You would have thought the Oxford game would have been better at their place TBH. I appreciate you need 1 home friendly but I could see a big crowd for them if Leeds were in town whereas not so interesting for your home support at yours.

We're in Austria too, playing similar German opposition. Sounds like it'll be fun over there.

Yeah, we're in Germany too...

Tickets for Villa’s Cup of Traditions tournament in Germany go on sale this Tuesday.

The team will take part in the event, a mini-competition at Schauinsland Reisen Arena, Duisburg on Sunday July 23, kick-off 1pm local time.

Teams will play two matches lasting 45 minutes each.

Other participating clubs include MSV Duisburg, Hertha Berlin and Malaga.

We have an allocation of 300 tickets (200 standing).

Tickets are £18 (seats), £9 (standing) for adults and £18 (seats) and £4.50 (standing for U18s).

I wish I had a passport, I'd be off to this, can imagine you can get a cheap flight to Dusseldorf and then get the train into Duisburg.

MSV run that tournament every year. Usually a decent day out.
And yes, it is only 15 mins from Düsseldorf airport stop to the MSV stadium stop on the S Bahn.
Norwich are playing against MSV in a full match, but in true continental fashion it is at a small village ground to the east of Dortmund.

Finally announced some friendlies
8th July - Behind closed doors game at our training ground vs QPR
10 day trip to Holland, where we hope to play a couple of games
29th July - We play Vitesse Arnhem.. at Adams Park.. just days after we're back from Holland..

Looks like we'll only have 4 games, due to our season ending later, and some players still playing games now

Just got my ticket to see us play the second biggest team in Bristol.
Don't normally bother with friendlies though.

Heard they'll only play behind closed doors games in Holland after the aggro at Portugal (A) in 2012.

Finally confirmed our full pre-season fixture list:

July 8th - QPR (Hogwood Park - behind closed doors)
July 15th - KV Kortrijk (Holland - behind closed doors)
July 15th - Gençlerbirliği (Holland - behind closed doors)
July 22nd - Sparta Rotterdam (Holland - behind closed doors)
July 22nd - Cercle Brugge (Holland - behind closed doors)
July 29th - Vitesse Arnhem (Adams Park)

So only one game that isn't behind closed doors, and our only "home" fixture is in Wycombe.

I'm not that bothered about attending pre-season games, but it has pissed off a few of our fans.

Last season we had at least three games that fans could attend (vs Lincoln, Wimbledon and Bournemouth).

The lack of a true home fixture is largely due to the fact that our pitch is getting relaid, but no other attend-able fixtures other than the game in Wycombe is strange.

Club saying that they cannot get stewards available in Holland for them, but surely other clubs have had no problems..

Melle Meulensteen is a bit of a baller.

Always nice to start off with a big win and strikers getting on the scoresheet.

Seems like Stevie May is part of Neil's plans based on recent comments.

We just got a massive 1-0 away win against.... Guernsey.

By all accounts their goalkeeper played the game of his life, other than a big mistake for our goal.
The twitter updates are almost all a variation of "Addison saves again"
