Just played our last pre-season game (assuming the Lincolnshire Cup final will be in the season).

We drew with Lincoln 2-2 and beat them 5-4 on penalties, Tom Hopper scored both goals for us.

This means we've remained unbeaten for this pre-season with 6 wins and two draws.

Beat Altrincham 2-1 but our stand in keeper made a massive balls up for their goal to add to his error in the Notts and Getafe games!

Lost 3-1 against the sheep, 5,302 in attendance. Timmy Thiele for the Albion and Bent, Weisman and Russell for them.
Derby are a very good side.

Drew 0-0 v Pompey. Dire game.

At no point did we have a first XI on the pitch though, which is itself worrying.

Beat Luton Town 1-0, looked alright, our wing backs Demetriou and Rico Henry were class, really liking the 3 at the back formation.

We lost 3-2 to Chester, Turton and Cooper scored. Sounded like we were pretty poor all over the pitch. Not a massive concern, but what is is the state of our defence. We had a RB playing at LB. We had a CB playing who has barely played any games as a CB in a 4 man defence. The other CB has only turned pro this summer. And the RB has 14 senior appearances to his name.

Obviously its worth noting that our first choice CBs were out with minor injuries, but why on earth Steve Davis has dragged his heels over signing a CB and why he seems so reluctant to look for an experienced one is baffling, as is he undying faith in the CBs we currently have. He's heading for a fall on the same scale as last season at this rate. Needs to wise up and get someone in place should the Guthrie and Ray not step up, which could very well happen.

Beat MK 2-1 (Noble-Lazarus & McDermott)

That's 3 wins out of 3 against Championship sides, but defeats/draws against lower ranked opposition...

How's McDermott looked for you guys?

Was brilliant for us in a loan spell but that was 6 years ago nearly and seemingly lost his way in the game since. Be a shame if he doesn't make the most of the talent he did/does have.

We lost to carlisle. We are still playing trialists and are looking like absolute shite.

To sum up pre season we Cant score and Cant defend against any league team. Not looking good

Lost 4-3 against Wolves. Comedy defending was the highlight of a very open game from both defences, glad all that's over roll on next week.

Not seen him personally, but those who have seem to be quite impressed based on our forum posts.

Apparently his goal today was a vicious curler from 25 yards, which beat Martin (who's no mug) all ends up.

We were really, really poor against Oxford. Not confident at all for the game against Wigan Saturday.

For what it's worth, as results in these games mean bugger all in terms of the season ahead, ours have largely gone well.

We've beaten each of the non-league sides away from home, 6-0 at Market Drayton, 2-0 at Kidderminster and 4-1 at Tranmere, and faired well against the Championship sides at home, 2-2 against Cardiff, 0-2 against Birmingham and 1-1 against Wolves.

Currently drawing 1-1 with Liverpool. Benteke made it 0-1 with a wonder goal, Obika bends one into the far corner to equalise.

Good performance today. The loan keeper got man of the match and we look much better with Jordan turnbull in the side. Perhaps a striker and couple of squad players away from a play-off challenging side this season.

Couldn't get to the game, but friends who went reckon Donny are looking a very good side now. All agreed you'll be up there come May. And at 7-1, all four of us have put money on it.

I've had a bet on Wves to go up too, I can't see you defending as poorly as that every week and signing AlLF should bag you a fair few too.
