Much more sensible than last year, which we spent dicking about beating park teams 13-0 and then chasing after the ball against Derby and Leicester. We seemed confused when we suddenly had to start playing teams in a remotely similar league.

at least you won't be able to play "name the newly signed striker"

no big teams - but Evo has picked them for a reason and the opposition players in the last one could be of a lot of interest to our fans given Tyler Smith and RND last season and Sheff Utd ringing us up offering more loanees already for the coming season

Taunton Town

Aim high lads.

They beat Benfica and Sporting Lisbon last season.

That should be fun..

Maidenhead at home to the Kuwait national team on 16th July. I'm not sure why Kuwait think this is a good idea. Are there any international pitches anything like York Road? Or any national teams who are as crude as us?

Can only assume Kuwait are training at Bisham Abbey and looking for an unorthodox challenge.

At the moment we have:

Tue 9th July Away to Badshot Lea
Sat 13th July Home to Oxford United
Tue 16th July Home to Wycombe Wanderers
Fri 19th July Away to Salford City
Sat 20th July Away to Dunston UTS
Sat 27th July Away to Farnborough
Tue 30th July Home to Portsmouth

Not sure if we're going to bring 30 players up north to play 2 games in 2 days against Salford and Dunston.

why northern friendlies? - to get used to travelling?
Dunston have (i think) had to drop the UTS bit from their name due to FA rules on advertising.

Yep. Replaced by Sabri Lamouchi.

Me neither. Will he know his way to Alfreton?
Wow, things have really taken a dive at Forest. Sacking managers after a few months is one thing, but making them drive the team bus is shambolic.

Is it still all ticket? Forecast looks good and I’m back in Derbyshire so might pop along if it’s possible

Well I think our manager wanted to play his local team up in Newcastle. And Salford because Martin Tyler spoke to his mate Neville and got it organised. Still a bit pointless though.

We beat Cefn Druids 4 nil. Two different teams, a mix of Trialist and youngsters in amongst the first team. Encouraging performances from some of the new lads.
