Our final friendly is home to Blackburn tomorrow evening.

Any other United confirm whether it has always been scheduled for Friday evening, I swear down when I first saw it listed, it was for Saturday afternoon.

Our final one on Saturday against Walsall, which is doubling up as a Lee Beevers benefit match after his probable career ending injury last season.

Woking Saturday and Chippenham Town Tuesday. Nearly time for the real stuff to get going. It's been a long summer.

Looking at Benfica's team yesterday has left me shocked we didn't get ruined.

Shouldn't get too carried away with pre season friendlies but we're beating *Rangers first team 3-0 at half time.

Nothing can stop Beevers, that man is incredibly tough and some of the injuries he over came when we won the league was amazing.

Is he still under contract? I hope he recovers and makes some games. He had some good games for us in the league.

Nope, out of contract but he'll be with throughout his rehab. I'm not sure he'd have got another contract anyway. Not had great luck here with bad injuries here because he disclosed his shoulder in Peter Jackson's first game in charge in 2007 and ended up doing that a handful of times at other clubs as well.

I think he's hoping to get onto the pitch tomorrow but he's only jogging in straight lines and that's about 9 months after his injury. Still got a long way to go.

We're playing Blackburn at home tonight.

I'm expecting them to be pretty good a week before the season starts so I'm expecting a hiding. Hopefully there'll still be some positives.

Our final friendly is currently being played against Gillingham, 0-1 down. Would have expected the line-up tonight to be pretty much what we'd be starting with at Accrington next weekend, but it's thrown me as it seems quite mixed still which is a little odd.

We put in a very good performance to beat Blackburn 3-1.

Blackburn weren't as good as I expected, apart from Dack and Graham who caused our defence major problems first half.

I still worry about us defensively, especially in the full back areas. We'll see how things go, but there are plenty of positives to take from tonight.

Well this is the same Blackburn that beat Grimsby 1-0 in their last friendly, so make of that what you will, shame I couldn't go.

They were decent, just not as good as I expected. On another day they could have gone in at half time ahead but for good saves from Bonham. I had them as certs to win league 1, not so sure now but in Danny Graham they've got a top championship striker who should fill his boots in league 1. Peter Whittingham should also be too good for that level.

We were good tnight, the trio behind the striker were our standout players but as I say the defence still worries me and we'll be relying on scoring a lot of goals.

If everyone's fit we can be a decent team, but with our lack of depth we're 2 or 3 injuries away from a crisis.

It was a good performance, some positive attacking football on show. Surprised Bennett only got 20 minutes, but he looked half decent, as did the trialist who's probably done enough to earn a contract.

Lost 1-0 at Maidenhead. Ainsworth gave some bench warmers a chance to impress but none did although the left back on trial did well.

A good pre-season for us, won all our matches and only conceded 1 goal which was against Blackburn who are favourites to "Rip L1 apart" according to some of their fans.

So if we can beat a team who are expected to win L1, then we should theoretically win L2 and win every game convincingly.

Aint that right Greg!

Simon Dobbin Benefit against Southend at the Abbey today. With Josh Coulson going on 6 month loan to Orient, speculation suggests that the required new Centre Back might be announced and make his debut. If that turns out satisfactorily and Jevani Brown is confirmed, we just need to get to September with no departures, especially Luke Berry, and we'll have had a pretty satisfactory pre-season.

Of course, we never do things the easy way so I expect Luke to be on his way and at least one major injury crisis before we get to September.

Scunny today which is a bit of a weird one to be honest. Am I allowed to say that this is quite an important game because it'll be the first where hopefully our first XI will be playing together, because we've wasted pre season so far in terms of match preparedness.

Bit of a strange analogy, but go back to the 2011 Ashes where the England team were so ruthless in all of their warm up games. We've not shown anything like that.

Sorry but you'll have to settle for third place instead as the top 2 have already been reserved for Lincoln and Chesterfield, Impish and OneDecentLester said so and they are the voices of true unbiased reasoned opinion on this forum and so must be believed.

Your post? Well no, as usual you get your facts wrong. We did not win all of our matches.

Currently beating Dorchester 4-0 with goals from Wheeler, Reid, Taylor and James.

It's much needed too as we've been a bit poor so far results wise. Got a few players missing with Moxey, Harley and Holmes sidelined but expect them all to feature next week.

Lost 1-2 at home to Portsmouth. Verheydt got his first goal in a Crawley shirt.

Every time we have played someone half decent we have had problems. Let's hope there ain't many half decent teams in the league this season.

Final score 6-1. Additional goals from Sweeney and our latest academy talent, 16 year old Jack Sparkes who has impressed this pre season with some excellent displays. Expect Tisdale will give him some opportunities in the league.

A much needed boost, onto Cambridge next Saturday now.

We just lost 2-0 to a strong Mansfield side. Both goals in the final 10 minutes in an otherwise close contest apparently.

Just beat Tiverton Town 4-2, our goals coming from Connor Smith x2, Santos and Zoko. Conceded from a penalty and a keeper error. Sounded like most of our friendlies have been pretty similar, looked good in midfield and going forward, but major question marks over our defence. Next up is Bournemouth on Wednesday.
