Wayhay, Comon Weston-super-Mare. I used to go watch them when I was a kid.
Weston 0 ECFC 5
(Your old boy "Super Sammy Nombe" with four of them!)
And, before anyone asks "who the eff are Weston Super Mare..?", it's where we sent a certain Ollie Watkins on loan to hone his skills before going on to greater things.

Seems like WSM had the best of the first half. Dayle Grubb and Reuben Reid up front is a good combo for their level.

2nd half we got going after making changes at the break. Nombe is going to be huge for us this season…Just need to keep him fit as his hamstrings worry me.

The only downside tonight is Sonny Cox going off early with an ankle injury. Hope it’s not too bad and it’s a shame he’s not having the best luck so far this pre season.

We lost 2-1 to Israeli Premier League side Maccabi Netanya yesterday, but I'm not sure whether it was a proper 90 minute game.

Come on Si Robin. Where's the PSf table then? Played 1, won 1, and a 4 goal differential. I'm getting excited. :fl:

I shall be publishing it on Monday mornings.

I've not even looked at last night's and today's results yet because it's on my work laptop.

Talking of today - Cheltenham lost 2-0 to Bristol City in a friendly at their training ground.

I can't find any reference to it on Twitter or the club website, so I'm not including it.

We lost 3-0 at Kidsgrove. Only four of our first team squad saw any minutes. Rest was a mix of youth lads and trialists. Shameful start to our attempt to win the pre-season league.

I am guessing we have some sort of game arranged while in Spain next week as otherwise not sure I agree with the strategy of only having two friendlies and then naming that sort of team in one of them.

Harsh to advertise it as a first team game then play a load of youths and youth team trialists, can see why fans are annoyed.

We have confirmed we play Dundee United in Spain next week.

We've got our first pre-season game tomorrow, away at Bradford. It looks like there will be more than 2000 Derby fans going to the game.

I'm expecting a few surprises, probably a few trialist. We've been really coy on who has been training at the club for the past week or two - it seems like there is a few players that haven't been announced that are likely to be playing tomorrow.

A nominal Wycombe XI composed entirely of the ever-fertile A.Triallist family lost 2-0 to the Isthmian League South Central Division’s very own Bracknell Town tonight.

Ainsworth out.

Anyway, first “proper” friendly is tomorrow v Fulham U23s.

We beat the mighty Whitchurch Alport 2-0 on Tuesday and today we play Rochdale. Our manager Calum says it will just be an exercise of how we play without the ball.

WWFC first team 3 - Fulham U23s 0.

We’re gonna piss the PSF table and L1 autos.

Possibly.

Today’s kneejerk reaction: Ainsworth IN.

Or 1,336 to us in the real world.
I’d assumed the 1800 tickets had sold out as they had released a statement that more would be made available on the day. Obviously not. Anyway, a good first half but our academy team struggled in the second. Carlos Richards has a big future but at 16, it looked too much for him. I think they could’ve mixed the teams up to give the younger players a bit more of an opportunity, but can see why they wanted the more senior players to play together as we don’t have a big squad and the season isn’t far away.

Mendes-Laing looked really good, as did Eiran Cashin. Bird, Sibley and Knight all picked up from where they left off. Barkhuizen a threat but probably should’ve scored another or two - still a debut goal isn’t bad going. Lots of positives, yet no doubt we’re still several players short of a squad (bar Hourihane, Chester and McGoldrick who will come into it soon)

We sportswashed our way to a 2-0 win against Qatar SC yesterday. One goal from a mystery striker and another from one of our nippers, Alfie Bridgman.

3 triallists yesterday, 1 was LWB Jacob Jones, not sure about the other two. One might have been George McEachran but not sure. Anyone recognise either of these?
