Parkinson is such a prick, his comments on that young ‘keeper are outrageous. Just saw the clip of it and it’s obviously a complete accident that he’s trying to pull out of.

Hope Mullin’s alright and back quick though, looking forward to him vs Macca again.

Well the interview was immediately after the game and he gets a bit heated as we know- he's just seen his best player carried off and end up in hospital so understandable emotion in my view. Managers can't all be robots like Williams.

It was a terrible challenge, not malicious but not good at all- would have been a red in a normal game. Apparently Bishop has reached out to Mullin and they've exchanged contact details etc, which is a nice touch.

Not sure he will be back by October with recovery time etc.. Hope he is of course.

It wasn’t even a challenge, he just couldn’t stop his momentum and ran into Mullin. Obviously it’d be a red in a normal game because of the position and him being clean through. Complete freak injury, 49 times out of 50 he’s just a bit winded.

Maybe it’s just an emotional reaction and he’ll come out and apologise. Doubt it though.

New found confidence or misplaced cockiness, I'll let others decide!

At least NYS is only 5 minutes walk from about a dozen town centre pubs, not miles from anywhere.
One consideration when a site was being chosen was up by the M18 at Hellaby which would have been awful.

Whenever we go to the Keepmoat or whatever it is this week we just bus it to the ground.
Maybe a bit of both tbh :bg: :bg: Nice to beat that lot last & a neutral journo mate who went said we looked decent, especially as maybe 6 or 7 of our strongest matchday squad played against Boro U21s earlier in the day.

Oh he absolutely will not. We should just be grateful he didn't get in the lads face like he did with Walker at Barnet.

You’ve got to feel for the bloke. Him and his crack team of analysts and tacticians have been working tirelessly all summer on brilliant yet cunning strategies that would have heralded a triumphant return to league football. Mullin’s injury has fucked all that.

I wonder what shit league 1 club’s striker the Chorley Bielsa will go for now?

(Insert a clip of Mullin claiming a penalty)

Shit league 1 clubs hate us- We've already bullied Carlisle, Charlton and Cheltenham. Derby are next alphabetically.

Always good to see one of us so called lesser SY teams beat the Sheffield clubs.
We beat Utd 1 0 as well and held out quite comfortably with all the kids getting a run out from about 70 minutes onwards.

If you had asked me if we are going to go down last Wednesday after the 2 -0 defeat to Middlesboro' (which should have been 6), I would have said most definitely. But after the win at Mansfield (who were very good as seen by winning at Hearts) and last night, I can see a lot of progress and you never know we might just make a fist of staying up and maybe even improving a bit.

Anyway all the best for the coming season, I would love Woody to get one last promotion on his CV.
But you'll forgive me if I don't want to see us in the same league in 2024-25

I've seen Mullin and Waters first hand in a Cambridge shirt and the latter not fit to lace his boots.

That's Wrexham in league two next season.

Parky losing his shit in the the post match, offering out straighteners to what are still essentially children.

Great striker Paul Mullin. Hopefully he's OK. Does look an accident to me tbh but obviously you'd be pissed off if you were a Wrexham fan.

Absolutely an accident. Still annoying.

We need to crack open that oil money. Waters is fine as a back up but not a starter. Palmer and Dalby too similar.

Oh I am pissed off as much as the rest of us, however its like its portrayed that we are heavily reliant on him and noone else to score goals. We have so much quality that we would defo miss him, but equally also not miss as the other lads are really good.

If there was a place to strengthen it would be up front, though.

You will sign someone else. Maybe two.

Thing about "fine as back up not as starter" players is that when they actually have to play and essentially "back up" you think "woah fuck that".

It's a good thing for you it didn't happen first game in September. One of the reasons it's a bit harder to piss this league is you can't just go out in October or March etc and cover for an injury with a shiny new signing.

Middlesborough at Valley Parade this evening. Would love for Hughes to start what he considers to be his strongest XI, but I don’t think we’ll see that until Rochdale at the weekend.

Genuinely, I have no idea whose considered to be a starter or not.

Love how Parkinson warned Bishop to "stay away from Wrexham" like anyone from Utd would know who he is

I certainly feel for Wrexham and any club would be frustrated with the circumstances, but that comment from a manager is both unprofessional and highly embarrassing.

We're playing Rotherham too, aren't we? Can't remember when like.

Have you seen the interview? It's been reported like he was absolutely raging but he said that line with a smile.

It's a bit of a storm in a teacup. We all know what Parkinson can be like but he was ambushed right after the game by a reporter and a lot has been made of fairly innocuous statements imo.

Fair enough pal. if it’s out of context.

We only have one advertised friendly left and that's at Lincoln on Saturday.
Unless we play behind closed doors next week?
