I guess there isn’t much to do in Stroud.

We will in all likelihood send a team to Ilkeston. Wouldn’t a surprise me if we played Derby

We’ve 2 at home - WBA and Pompey and 3 local non league teams away. Also a game against a Benfica touring side at St George’s.

We did Benfica at St George’s was frustrating as may as well play it at the ground and enjoy the bigger gate for it... that said to warn you they smashed our league one side 5-0 within the first half!

The likes of Blackburn etc are a bit boring though, I enjoyed the game a couple years back against Getafe as something a bit different although they were absolute thugs! Both times we’ve had friendlies with a La Liga side they’ve had ten men due to elbowing!

We played them last pre season at St George’s - lost 2-1

I remember the days of playing Red Star Belgrade, Real Sociadad, Utrecht , Liverpool, Everton and we actually did well, we hammered
Sociadad 5-2. Not sure as a league 2 side we would learn much in a pre season match against a top flight side these days, I understand playing league 1 Blackpool is a better test, just a shame it's not away.

I think we've just announced 5 so far. No stand outs, but the Newport Pagnell fixture is always a fun one.
7th July: Newport Pagnell (A)
9th July: St Neots Town (A)
13th July: Brackley Town (A)
24th July: Ipswich (H)
27th July: Oxford (H)

Haven't announced ours yet. Last season we played all away games at local National South and Southern clubs. Dont know if the ongoing redevelopment necessitates the same. We had an excellent start to the season so it wouldn't be the end of the World.
Don't expect more than five games due to the need for a proper break.

I thought it was Valladolid you beat 5-2?Didn't Valderrama turn out too?

Strong rumours we are going up to Ibrox to play Rangers on the 8th July.

Steven Gerrard and Ryan Lowe are both good friends apparently hence the arrangement.

We're playing Walsall at home on the last Saturday in July.

God knows why we're announcing them one at a time.

Decent set of fixtures so far. Think the LFC game is the midweek before Wigan just waiting for them to announce. Club takes around 130k on that game which helps!
Once the Sergio Ramos lawsuits have been filed, I think the date will be confirmed as 11th July.

We beat Japan 7-2 in a Pre-Season friendly once.

Just saying!
We had back to back draws against two La Liga teams a few years ago*, they were terrible games. Osasuna and Racing Santander.

*Turns our a few years ago was 2004, suppose everything has been somewhat a blur/depressing since then.

Definitely not getting any home games apparently, due to the pitch being dug up.
We've announced a fixture at Bideford Town. Probably better than Wembley...

The usual fare for us at home - Sheffield Utd, Derby and Rotherham, with all the smaller non-league games to be confirmed closer to the time.

Might actually go to one this year, having not been to one in 12 years!

We now have away games at Truro, Bideford, Weymouth, Taunton and Bath announced. Truly a West Country tour!

We've got:-

Rolls Royce Leisure Select XI (A)
Basford United (A)
Derby County (H)
Leicester City (H)
Luton Town (A)

Couple of home games with big attendances to boost the coffers is always nice, away game at Luton is a bit random but presumably comes from Nolan being good mates with Nathan Jones.

We’ve announced none yet, but as I previously mentioned there’s rumours we are off to Ibrox at some point in July.

Is that because SG is a pal of Ryan Lowes, they both come from Huyton.
