Our annual match-up with dear neighbours, Bradford Park Ave, will take place at the end of July.

Swansea City confirmed as our home fixture. Will be good to see Matt Grimes back at the park.

Can't beat a summer's evening at The Meadow (Brimscombe) with a beer on the grassy bank.

What is a Brimscombe and Thrupp.

Sounds like a cross between an STD and an estate agency.

We seem to be messing around with announcing our PSFs this summer - we've announced Bristol Rovers at home on 27th July and Stratford Town have announced we're playing them on 13th July, but that's it so far.

Literally minutes after I typed my above post, it's also been announced that we're playing Leicester at home on 20th July and Bromsgrove Sporting away on 30th July (I suspect this would be our kids though).

Ours haven't been announced I don't think but I'm gonna go out on a whim and predict we'll have:

Cleethorpes (a)
Barton (a)
Doncaster (h)
Gainsborough (a)
Winterton (a)
Peterborough (h)

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

4 out of 6. Not bad. No wonder 95% of our fan base gives a shit about pre-season, we're so predictable.

https://www.grimsby-townfc.co.uk/news/2019/may/-201920-pre-season-fixtures-announced/

Cleethorpes Town (A) - Saturday 6th July - 3:00pm kick off

Grantham Town (A) - Tuesday 9th July - 7:30pm kick off

Boston United (A) - Thursday 11th July - 7:30pm kick off

Gainsborough Trinity (A) - Thursday 18th July - 7:30pm kick off

Doncaster Rovers (H) - Saturday 20th July - 12:00pm kick off

Scarborough Athletic (A) - Tuesday 23rd July - 7:30pm kick off

Peterborough United (H) - Saturday 27th July - 3:00pm kick off

Full schedule now anounced with after Burnley home and Altrincham away have now been added. Plenty of 3pm Saturday games which is good. Will probably do Nantwich, Altrincham and Wrexham away, and maybe the Burnley game, as it will be nice to see Ashley Westwood back.

Nantwich Town (a)Saturday 6 July, 3pm
Altrincham (a)Saturday 13 July, 3pm
Witton Albion (a)Tuesday 16 July, 7:45pm
Curzon Ashton (a)Tuesday 16 July, 7:45pm
Burnley (h)Saturday 20 July, 3pm
Wrexham (a)Saturday 27 July, 3pm
Colwyn Bay (u23) (a)Tuesday 30 July, TBC

Saturday 3pm KO which is good.
Which is going to be a pile of tripe
It is a Burnley XI as they play Crewe at exactly the same time.
I'm a right hypocrite even posting as I never attend.
But we maybe get 1200.
Everton or Villa guarantee 6000 through the turnstiles to boost the coffers
Yet another dreary game to add to the list of shit pre season games

Will split their squad for the two games, recall Everton doing that.

To be fair when we beat them in the cup a couple of years back there was hardly a clamour of interest.

Most I guess are location focussed.
For example we won't be playing Southampton or Newcastle in a friendly.

Maybe it's difficult job getting a friendly as most Premier go abroad for lucrative games but I don't see Burnley raising many pulses .
I'll get my brownie points in that day with the Mrs.
B &Q and Homebase that day to lay the foundation for a weekend away in Plymouth later in the season.
All heart I am

Ashley Westwood will play at the Vale game be too emotional for him to go back to Crewe.
Get yourself up here. Joe Hart, Westwood, Crouch and errrr some others .

Hes been on loan from United at Aberdeen (4 goals in 24 according to wiki)...

Guy who said it reckons him, Bowery and Dickinson are signing... on the latter two I hope it is monkey dust talking!

I really hope it is, I'll be most upset if Bowery joins you

We’re set to announce a friendly with Liverpool, by all accounts.

Our ex-captain, Stephen Darby, who retired at the age of 29 due to being diagnosed with MND last year, appears to be the key link (if there is one).

Nothing yet confirmed, but proceeds going to relevant charities and Stephen himself will ensure a close to sell out crowd for Darbs at Valley Parade. It would be a fitting tribute to a fine professional he was/is.

Hope this comes off.

Provided one of our finest recent football memories scoring the winning penalty at the Valley in our play-off victory in 2010.

I hope it comes off, I am sure the Bradford faithful would turn out in droves.

Hope it comes off as well. Stephen Darby did a pretty competent job (in a pretty incompetent Dale team) in his loan period as a youngster.

You also have a more mundane friendly, at our place on 27 July...

Tuesday evening home friendly against Tranmere on the 23rd of July.

Honestly that's a good bit of friendly arrangement a nice little bonus evening of football, testing our mettle against the sort of side we have to try and emulate, just before the season kicks off.

Just want away to Carlisle City on a sweltering summer afternoon now.
